Really as long as it's not IE I don't care what I wind up having to use.
I normally use Firefox but Chrome is good too
I find Opera to be nice and well-rounded.
I tend to use Firefox in Windows, but in Ubuntu, holy fuck Chrome (er, Chromium) is BLAZING fast. As soon as you click a link its instantly rendered the page. Its not even that fast in Windows on the same system!
From a perspective of someone that used firefox for about 3-4 years I can say I like chrome better. I originally switched to chrome because I felt firefox was slowing down (I think this was around ff3). I was instantly hooked because of its looks and speed. Sure I can't customize it as much as firefox, but god fucking damn chrome is fast.
Plus the omnibar and the ability to sync your google account with it are my favorite features.
Firefox is indeed still a solid browser, I can't deny that. Even IE9 and IE10 are solid, in regards to their HTML5 speed. Chrome has just won me over, that's all.
i tried chrome but i've been using firefox for ages and really can't get used to chrome (also firefox has noscript + adblock plus)

and chrome doesn't???
I don't get how anyone could live without noscript.
The day noscript will be available for chrome and google finally decides to add more settings to determine what's written to disk (cookies, cache, history) i'll make the switch.
History and cookies are available through the tools menu and options menu respectively, and you can see the contents of the cache by putting chrome://cache/ in the url bar
Noscript is also available (under the name NotScript) but chrome runs sandboxed so while I can't say there are no exploits it's unlikely
