It could also further divide the UNSC which could cause a country like Russia (who have been quite vocal about their belief that NATO / UN were wrong) to try and get a new resolution passed to stop the intervention. Back to the main topic at hand: BBC were just reporting on TV some tiny more details, apparently no bodies etc were at the scene of the attack when the media went to see it. Although given the apparent 2 hour delay after the attack it doesn't seem that surprising. They also gave some info apparently from NATO, apparently they were targeting a "command center" (as I suspected would be the official line, whether or not its true is another matter entirely)

Now it has nothing to do but go downhill. His son is dead, Western powers are invading him. He might do something crazy now. Well crazier.

Gaddafi may have deserved this but his son and grandchildren sure didn't.

Khamis is still alive, the Libyan government had him on TV a few days after the rumor started.

Reading the fact that his wife, children and family are all in there with him gave me a chill... we shouldn't be bombing households. We know where he is, if we want to kill him we can do it without blowing up bystanders.

Anyone who's in the same house as Gaddafi and is duplicitous to the mass murder being carried out in his name deserves to die. Wasn't another son of him killed by some crazy deserter who flew his fighter yet into one of Ghadaffi's compounds at the beginning of the rebellion? If so, I feel a bit bad for Ghadaffi, it's his third child that has been killed by airstrikes. His baby daughter was killed in the 1986 airstrike.

It is important to note that there's been no independent confirmation that he was there, or anywhere near it. It has however been confirmed by the BBC (and probably more now) that the villa was inside of a heavily fortified, military guarded complex. It is entirely possible that they were bombing a command and control facility as NATO claim.
