Wow what a scrub stop using land stand.
They were probably playing Spec Ops. When you die you always go into Last Stand mode.
The police also found the dead body of a missing teenager in the pile of empty red bull and mountain dew cans
The police also found the dead body of a missing teenager in the pile of empty red bull and mountain dew cans
0/10 no doritos.
The cries for help were probably just the scrubs raging at each other.
I've played shooter games on surround sound home theater systems before, and at high volume it really does sound like actual guns going off, so I can see why they got this confused.
A group of teenagers engaged in a session of the PC combat game Call of Duty
Oh sure, when it's used in such a bad context they forget that the majority of the games played on it are on consoles. In all seriousness though, this is the first article i've read where Cod was considered a pc game over a console game (new cods not old ones, dont tell me about how cod 1-3 were originally pc only blah blah) Also i feel like it's just the neighbors wanting to piss them off for being so loud.
yea has happened before.
While this is funny, it isn't anything rare. Cops get often get called to peoples houses only to find out that it was a movie, video game, or a really exciting game of Stratego that was causing the neighbors concern.

you die in the game YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE
Wasn't there a film with that premise?
weren't there like 20
This is why I always play games with a headset and closed doors. Seriously, if they had the volume up that loud they deserved having the cops called on them (not SWAT, but at that point a noise complaint is definitely in order).
Might not be the worst that could happen... Skip to about 1:20
it must have Been Jettan even though he isnt a Teen :D
I'm 19, thankyouverymuch.
Wow what a scrub stop using land stand.
Simulates a combat situation? When the fuck do soldiers rush in at lightning fast speeds while every known possible military vehicle has their back as support?
Growing up around guns and hearing them fired a lot, it's crazy that people think the gun sounds in most games are actual sounds. Most guns have different levels of loud pops and that's it, no throaty roars.
I'm not proud of my country :tinfoil:
Seriously how loud must it have been for the passers-by to think it was actual gunfire and screams for help?
probably people who have never heard gunfire before
I've played shooter games on surround sound home theater systems before, and at high volume it really does sound like actual guns going off, so I can see why they got this confused.
Eh, I disagree. A few games get really, really close (Battlefield 3 comes to mind), but the vast majority really don't capture the sound, much less the feel of a real gunshot. My family actually has a kickass home theater, but at no point have I been playing a game, fired a gun and gone "Hot damn, that was just like real life!"
If your home theater made such loud sounds your hearing would be in danger.
He must've been really engaged if his screams for help were convincing enough that someone called the police
A really exciting game of Stratego that was causing the neighbors concern.
Didn't know there was a sex version of that.
Sweden is probably the last place I'd guess that this would've happened.
Go home Sweden, you crazy drunk the past months! I even know the guys who did this, tho the story was a bit different.
I can understand it though, as he was screaming at the top of his lungs for help, while CoD probably was on max volume
No,it was the guy raging.
I'm 19, thankyouverymuch.
WHAT!? youre here OMGWTFOVERHYPEDREACTION :D lolol you sound much older somehow iunno :P (User was banned for this post ("Shitpost/dumb bump" - Orkel))
Remind me of when some idiots around here were playing airsoft in a park and people thought they were actually shooting each other with real firearms. Like full on orange tips, no muzzle flash, no recoil, shoots white balls and sounds as intimidating as a sewing machine = real guns.
They shouldn't have been playing with airsoft guns in a park either way
