How does this even CGI...
From the makers of Ice age is a bad enough way to start a movie description.
I don't see why people are getting pissed off.. So what? You aren't going to be forced to watch it.
Pretty sad to think Schulz' son and grandson were involved in all this.
HOLLYWOOD NO WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING HOLLYWOOD NO BAD HOLLYWOOD NO CGI NO

And so the gluttonous Hollywood beast absorbs and corrupts another classic.

Is nothing sacred anymore?
This is why, as much as it pains me to say it, I'm glad that Bill Watterson didn't allow any merchandising of Calvin & Hobbes.
Exactly what I was thinking about. Calvin & Hobbes seems so sacred to me in my childhood memories, and it occurred to me that this is because I never saw it anywhere else - it was simply a comic and nothing more. There were no crazy merchandising or animation/movie adaptations to cheapen its memory to me. Speaking of which, I still own all those books. Maybe I should crack them open again some time.
Schulz must be rolling in his grave, now. [editline]9th October 2012[/editline]
Exactly what I was thinking about. For a while I thought I wanted a movie, or a show, anything with the characters in it. However, Bill Watterson stopped the comic because he was running out of ideas and I guess he knows himself better than I do. C&H is like the polar opposite of The Simpsons.

20 bucks says Snoopy and Woodstock do a rap with Lil Wayne.
It'll probably lose all its charm, just like The Lorax. ahahaha. if anything it cheapens the brand beyond what it already is.
I thought The Lorax was good.
It's a fucking ploy to get you to give them your money. No matter what, you know you guys are all most likely going to see this movie no matter how terrible it is.
They should keep making films like this. By using the kinetic energy created by multiple dead bodies spinning in their graves, we can harness them for electricity and solve the energy crisis. All we have to do is hammer out a lot of awful movies.

Madhouse is currently working on an anime adaption. :v:
I-is it bad that I'd read that?
Yes, anime is japanese animation.
Atleast it's not Calvin & Hobbes.
Madhouse is currently working on an anime adaption. :v:
Did they show anything from it yet?
Did they show anything from it yet? Google translate on their site is doing an awful job:
I've been searching for it everywhere, I couldn't find it unfortunately.
Blue Sky Studios are the people who made the CGI Horton Hears a Who movie, and The Lorax. God help us.
And it turns out in the end it stays completely true to the Peanuts and everyone stops bitching
Its pretty funny how we just cant have anything in traditional hand drawn animation anymore, or just as a legacy left behind from the actual desires of the creators. I actually watched Winnie The Pooh 2011, and that is one of Disneys best movies for sure, just because its what would have been produced back then and it looks great without CGI.
