but it still doesn't make sense okay maybe I'm stupid, I don't know all kinds of shit about christianity, but why intercede on her behalf and not on the behalf of many other christian little girls who have been kidnapped?
It may not be consistent, it may be illogical. I'm not arguing that. I'm saying that if you guys get so bent out of shape about such trivial shit you will probably die in the next year due to aneurism or heart attack. It's really not a big deal. Pick your battles.

Not bad, might go for the human enhancement program
Fuck the God discussion, this Youtube comment pisses me off way more:
"Thank the Lord that she got away." Yeah, thank God your brave little girl can put up a fight* when some low-life murdering criminal out on parole tries to abduct her. IDIOT. Keep your precious child WITH you!! People like this tick me off. Who leaves a 7-yr-old baby alone in a huge store? The mom was going to get fruit?! In most Wal-Mart Superstores, the produce department is ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE FREAKING BUILDING. She fully intended to leave that child! Slap the mom with a negligence charge!
I spent half my childhood in Kmart while my mum was in the adjacent supermarket picking up food for us. The media really has fooled some people into thinking that the world is teeming with paedophiles and that nowhere is safe for kids to be alone if it isn't in the home or at a school. That degree of useless precaution is ultimately almost more harmful than the incompetent paedophiles hanging out in Walmart.
Who was that guy kidding? Abducting in such a public place.
While I agree it is dumb to "Thank the lord" for anything, the argument has no place in this thread.
You'd be surprised how often people (even atheists) say "Thank God"
Because it shifts the focus from this courageous girl to a character of literary fiction.
no it shifts hardcore atheists away from the courageous girl so they can circlejerk and derail the topic.
whodathunk that bremen of all places woulda made it in the news there's like nothing in bremen
I come into a thread about a 7 year old girl who successfully fought off an abductor and I find that the thread has derailed into a massive religion argument. Stay classy facepunch.
holy shit child rapists or w/e need to learn to google things all it would have taken is a google search (using a computer at his local library because he prob doesn't have a computer, having just got out of the pen) on how to pinch a child's neck and render them unconscious. then he could have just picked her up and walked out of the store like she was his own kid, and we'd be reading a much more awful story
