I still think smartwatches are pretty pointless.
everything the galaxy gear does is pointless IMO (and goes against the quality of the product since it completely bogs down battery life), but what the pebble does, it does well: display notifications, texts, etc. and the time. i got myself one at christmas and i really like it [editline]7th January 2014[/editline]
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/78/Pebble_watch_cycling_4.png[/t] It has a auto-adjusting brightness sensor i think.
it has a backlight for when you're in the dark (i shake my wrist when i wake up to see the time), but besides that, the thing is that the screen is e-ink, not a classic LCD, so it has perfect readability at all times [editline]7th January 2014[/editline]
Welcome to the internet, where people are blunt and discussions aren't candy coated.
"welcome to the internet" is never an excuse for bullshit behaviour
I got my Pebble a week ago and I love it. Controlling my music from my phone is great since my phone tends to be in my jacket pocket whenever I'm out, alarm feature is great to remind me when to make my medicine etc. It's definitely the future of watches.
i just got a pebble and i have had no real problems with it, i love it but damn that thing looks better
I agree that this watch looks better, but not $100 better, considering it's just as functional.
If anyone is interested in some cool watches http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/1/ Has some really cool LED watches. They are moderatly priced. I own a few they are nice
This is seriously the ugliest watch I have ever seen I think. Though these are close behind:
Vast majority of non-analog watches look like something you got in the Happy Meal at McDonalds. This one looks better, but yeah can't imagine wearing a non-analog watch. [editline]7th January 2014[/editline] Though I guess this one is cheap compared to analogs.
