I can't play it due to some shit.
not a DRM problem, they removed all the sign ins and all the DRM as long as its launched from steam (like it very well should be)
I will refuse to buy it if it's by the SecuROM people. SecuROM was WAY too fucking intrusive and could be considered malware/spyware.
From people who worked on SecureROM != SecureROM v2: Fuck your shit
They've had years to learn from their mistakes and stop making awful shit like SecureROM. After the massive backlash they had from it, I can't see them making the same mistake any time soon.
what drm does is funny in that it does almost nothing but fuck over legitimate users, while yeah they can actually work and prevent piracy its done at the cost of still fucking over legitimate users.
All signs point to this DRM being unobtrusive and not a problem for legitimate users. Plenty of DRM solutions don't negatively impact buyers, they're just never effective past a few days or a week or two at most.
Given the frequency with which piracy threads turn into a circlejerk of 'it's not harmful' and 'I just do it to try before I buy', I would not be surprised if more people are excited because it will probably be cracked than because it won't harm legitimate buyers.
