You can probably find it cheap on consoles but iirc it's in copyright limbo and isn't on any digital retailers for PC and won't be for a long time.
That sucks What exactly happened to it?
That sucks What exactly happened to it?
IIRC, Activision distributed Wolfenstein 2009, Id published it, and Raven developed it, but now the Wolfenstein franchise rights belong to Zenimax/Bethesda who own Id. Basically, no one knows who owns the game or what to do with it, and there isn't a large push to have it re-released so no one cares to try. But I'm not 100% sure, copywrite is really confusing. I'd really like to see a digital re-release, but there doesn't seem to be a desire for it, which is a shame because I think 2009 deserves a modern re-evaluation.
You do realize that you had to be creative in terms of killing the enemies in that game. That was like half the fun of the game.
I dunno, I felt that it was very gimmicky. The game was mediocre. I'm not a fan of Crysis 2, but I sure preferred it over Bulletstorm. The best thing about Bulletstorm was "Duty Calls" which was released as sort of a viral marketing ad thing.
That sucks What exactly happened to it?
From what I know, Activision technically owns the game but since id/Bethesda owns the rights to the franchise, Activision is no longer allowed to sell the game. Or perhaps Bethesda actually does own the game and is just sitting on it instead of releasing it, which is kind of unlikely.
Actually a full version of Wolfenstein: Black Sun was added as a bonus to one of the polish gaming magazines a while ago, but I hadn't had a chance to try it out yet
