UK braces for snowpocalypse as rare red warning issued for parts of Wales

To me, it doesn't sound that severe since that happens every winter. But there, that's not usual, it must be hell. I hope no one gets hurt.
Welp, its been a good run lads.
See you all in the great web forum in the sky.
There's been reports here in Wales of people stockpiling sheep. Just went out for a walk and the fields are completely empty
Physics AS exam tomorrow at 9. Live a 1 and a half hour walk from college.
Live just outside that red zone.

Fuck
Same exam, live in the amber zone. about 3 quarters of an hour away from College by foot.

I find this seriously weird, having handled temperatures up to -25° and no one giving a f*ck. And here they are like: The temperatures might drop up to -5°, close the schools, brace for impact. :D

The UK simply isn't as prepared for it, seeing as some years you get no snow anywhere and some you get like 3 weeks of heavy snow.
oh shit wait i'm meant to be dead
Has it started yet? I can't see anything out of my window because it's too dark
My school only ever closed for the 2009-10 "Arctic Britain" storm. That was a good one

My school has never ever closed without it being planned months in advance since it was created in the 60's

Ah, that explains a lot. I was about to make a stupid post asking why this weather is considered bad.
What's the windchill like? I didn't see it in the OP...

According to the UK Met Office with wind it "feels like -7 or -8 degrees celsius" over the weekend.
Media overreacting as usual. Stupid.
Seriously, a couple cm of snow and they act like its the end of the world.
I bet it makes people in other countries that get snow more often laugh.
Like it's the end of the world?
The last time it fucking snowed here people died man, by the hundreds it was a massacre, there were mass burials and bodies in the streets.
You don't know what we've seen, when the snows come we're forced to huddle together around our fireplaces for warmth, eating nothing but tins of soup and shots of whiskey just so we aren't chilled to the bone.
It's a hard life in Scotland during the winter.

Are you crazy? That poor guy pokes his head out his window and he'll pull it back in with frostbite and no lips.
CWMBRAN GETS THE BE PREPARED OPTION. AW YEAH
In before it doesn't snow
All these warnings and widespread panic can mean only one thing...
[sp]No snow.[/sp]

Torfaen Represent!
Yet again the west of scotland is the only part of the UK to not get snow. I fucking hate it here.
And it's just rained a little here so far, though I think the temperature is supposed to drop below zero before the snow hits, so I'm guessing we'll get a layer of snow over a layer of ice.

It's already snowing where I am

It's going to be like last January where it was just layers of irritation.
Snowed for 1 day in Holland
Trains delayed/not going
Buses 20-30 minutes late
Schools closed
Classes canceled
and a morning alarm to not drive on the roads
:v:
Hope the Welsh bring their sheep in from outside.. oh wait
Torfaen Represent!
I can't reveal that, you're an assassin
I am confused as to why the highland areas are not getting plastered with snow.
Do clouds just totally bypass that area, or what?
Lucky how schools n stuff close down so easily over there.
Has to be atleast way under -30c here in Finland for something like that to happen.
