There's literally nothing down here in Shepway, it's a bit grey and looks like it might rain, but there's not even been a light dusting here, let alone snow.
My University was all like "eh, we're open but the bus drivers can't be fucked and some lecturers may share that sentiment."
My uni is still open, but they've extended all deadlines to Monday. And apparently their post isn't working any more.
Oh boy we go to the same uni!
getting pretty bad in the midlands now it seems. can't wait to go to work tonight and see some mongols turn up to the store in this weather just to buy some sweets.
I'm in the red zone. just measured 25cm on the ground. still coming down.
There was ment to be snow fall in Northern Ireland, but I guess they were wrong :(

I remember us getting about 2 years of snow in a row then back to nothing last year, but before that it was mostly snowless from what I remember.

I missed all of my AS January exams about 2 years ago. I had to sit them all in the summer period.

Not sure on Birkenhead so for you it could be true but along the south end of Liverpool we always get snow, even if its half an inch and lasts for a day, we still get it. (pun not intended)
Haven't heard from Smurfy in a while, only one reasonable explanation.
RIP Smurfy ????-2013
Send some of this snow and cold weather to Australia thanks guys
I only had one lesson today but college is closed. We actually have quite a lot of snow, I guess about 5 inches was piled up on a table on the patio, and its still snowing and is forecast to snow basically all day.
Nobody uses snow tyres in the UK, unless they live in like the highlands.
Anyone who does use snow tyres needs to cease using them right now, even with a foot of snow they destroy the fucking road. Just last week they repaired the damage caused by someone with with snow tyres in 2011 when we had 1ft of snow.
Snow tyres don't destroy the road, ice does.
The water seeps in gaps between the tarmac, freezes; expands and then cracks the road.

Source: Living in the highlands for 17 years before uni, where people use snow tires and knowing the guy who managed the entire area's roads. If its cold enough to be worth using snow tyres, more damage will already have been done.
I woke up and looked outside my window and instantly went like, holy shit it's the snow.
hour 7 of snowageddon, and i am on my last packet of noodles
i pray that the beans last longer
Suddenly snow got to leave school early. Fuck yeah

some sick individuals are calling them 'snowmen' to lighten the mood
It was 0 F here in Vermont this morning. (-17 C)
wind chill of god knows what
Do you guys have good snow plows over there? How long does it take to get roads clear? If I remember, the UK doesn't get that much snowfall per year.
