Animals can very well defend themselves if they don't like it. Also a dog wouldn't jump onto a woman and fuck her if it didn't want it, or a horse would try to run away or kick around if it was in pain. So they can very well consent. The only problem I can see is that some people just are jackasses and really rape their animal. But a ban won't help the problem with those people, as they'll still do it secretly. It's not hard to hide that kind of stuff.

You're saying that the act of speaking or struggling is necessary to deny consent. While I can't speak to the mindset of any other animal, human or otherwise, I know that if something can't say "have sex with me" you shouldn't have sex with it. Plus you need to eat things, you don't however need to have sex with animals.
