They probably are. The Veterans of the Korean war are probably treated with incredible respect in their military centred culture and all probably have high positions.. well at least the officer veterans. I imagine the grunts are peasants and workers.

Unfortunately they don't show many of the other ship aside from the turret.

In addition to weapons they apparently make playground equipment and musical instruments. They're quite a productive unit :v:
