I compelled someone I know who plays MWO to try this out but every time he launches it he just gets a black screen. We have checked all the troubleshooting resources and nothing seems to work. Would this be a problem with the installer, the mod itself, or just something on his end?

Talk with him about their specs. I used the newer version that has the 64bit version and it works.

Hmm, It could be something to do with the black screen at game startup that you get whilst MWLL is checking to see if you have a modified install, this can sometimes persist for a minute or so. But after that the into video should cut in and the continue as normal.

But if it is hanging completely it could be a different problem (most probably not linked to the installer) I'll have a hunt around the MWLL forums to see if there are any similar reports. I would suggest that you (or you encourage your friend) to report it there, along with a brief description (specs etc.) the community is pretty good at sorting these things

Yeah the newest version ("version 1" the first one to contain MWLL 0.7.1) is much improved over previous ones. Is that the one that your friend used Raidyr?
