So then he doesn't have to reply?
You asked to be corrected if you were wrong, and you were, so I did. I found a trustworthy source that could be skimmed in literally 10 seconds. Taking my word is no better than you taking Trump's as truth without looking into it, that wouldn't be any better The high horse comment is ironic considering you're acting like your time is so precious and yet you have time to browse Facepunch.
"no wonder america is so fucked" america is so fucked because nobody cares about the facts, because they're too hard to keep up with, comprehend, and let alone actually read (kinda ironic, hunh)
god damn what a piece of shit. [editline]30th January 2017[/editline] Ok, you want a quick summary? "No, what he did was very different" You want to be actually educated? Read the damn article. Life doesn't come in TL;DR's
Thanks, but I disagree. If you're not surrounded by assholes then life does come with TL;DR's. I've been on these forums a while, but damn, some of you make this place so insufferable. Enjoy your politically charged high horses.
Wait, didn't Obama initiate a temporary ban from those same countries when he took office at the beginning of his presidency? Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Yes he did implement a similar but not at the beginning, it was part way through. It was also a reaction to a specific event, whereas trump's seems to be just because he wanted to. Obama's ban didn't affect those with green cards either.

Enjoy your politically charged high horses.
-Obama's was a direct response to an event in which two iraqi refugees were confirmed to be terrorists -Administration and Congress said 'oshit, better reevaluate our screening process' -Since the vetting process was being changed to be more secure it didn't make sense for them to be accepting refugees until after the new measures were put in place -No iraqi refugees (even non-muslims) allowed until we figure this shit out -You from iraq and want to immigrate? That's fine you're good to go, as long as you're not going through the asylum process.
Obama was a great man. Also I can already imagine some tweet from the man child if he happens to hear of it. "Obama is just upset he's not the president anymore. I'm doing more than he could ever hope to do. Sad!'
He'd be right. Endagering the life of millions, fucking up the life of thousands or maybe also millions even further by denying them stay in America, and possibly doing something that MIGHT start WW3 (I just know it...)... He really is doing more than Obama.
What progress?
Two steps forward 1000 steps backwards.
So we can throw social equality, affordable healthcare and environmental issues out of the window? Alright, let's just focus on the economic side of things. After all, the big numbers are essential to maintain the American way of life™ Nevermind that Trump's policies are actually working against the US' economical interests, boy that will do wonders to the US economy
Yes, see, those people who own those oil, coal, and other companies will help us. I don't mind living being mocked because I wasn't born into a rich white heterosexual party, can't get affordable healthcare, and will be living in a smog-infested hellhole. As long as those companies get more money, it's fine. And besides, Hillary would have done worse. She would have gotten only big banks richer. The horror. Now, tell me, HOW IS THAT ANY PROGRESS? The only fucking progress I am seeing from the new administration is progress for motherfucking Russia. Remember, Russia, North Korea, and that asshole from the Philippines supported this person, and yet you want us to give him a chance? I gave him enough chances, it is clear that he is only supporting himself, the rich people, and Russia. And haven't you forgotten when the Republicans hated on Obama for...oh I don't know, BEING TOO FUCKING SOFT ON RUSSIA? Yet now, you are praising Russia. Before you get on my case about Hillary(even though it isn't about her), Hillary could have started a war with Russia if she went through the No-Fly Zone without approval from Russia, and she was a corrupt bitch who gets money from corporate and banks. But at the very least, she could have furthered actual progress, and even then, she could have been impeached and/or arrested and we wouldn't have to worry with her VP since unlike Pence, Kaine was sane, even though she could have chosen someone better(*cough*Warren or Sanders*cough*). So again, what progress would be made if the current administration tried to make the rich richer, suppress the media, ban immigration from 7 countries because religion, and alienate our own allies? There is almost no justification over the ban (yet, and hopefully would never be any justification).
Obama just doing his campaign for party. Nothing special. Everyone will like You when You are lackluster.
Obama just doing his campaign for party. Nothing special. Everyone will like You when You are lackluster.
Obama's worst is still preferable to Trump's best. That's the sorry state of it, let that sink in.

Enjoy your politically charged high horses.
For what it's worth, I do think you were ganged up on for just a simple question. I think right now any community online, Facepunch included, is just really frustrated and any sign of ignorance about politics is met with frustrated anger – people not informing themselves and only wanting to know the tl;dr's is arguably what got Trump elected. You showed interest in being corrected though, which I think speaks highly of you and is much more than many others can say. All that said it's crazy to think that Obama already feels the need to intervene – he remained so astonishingly calm about Trump during the transition and wanted to give him a chance that it's kinda depressing to see how ten days after his successor's inauguration the US are in the middle of a crisis challenging their fundamental values.
This is a bad mentality tbh If anything he should be working with the new administration to improve America instead of trying to stop progress [editline].[/editline] By progress I mean economy and other more important issues
I think the word you're looking for is 'regress'
