And you are being to general, obviously a FP user will prefer a custom built desktop with Windows over any Mac because they are gamers. Obviously they will get annoyed when an Apple Zealot says they should switch to a Mac when said zealot doesn't do anything but web browse, obviously if Apple does a genuinely douchebag move people will say negative comments. But most of FP does not wish death upon Jobs or anyone in Apple. Heck FP is more open minded, educated, compassionate, and overall more pleasant than majority of the population of the US. I've used hundreds of forums, they are all cesspits compared to FP.

I don't agree with a lot of the choices the company makes, and their hardware is very overpriced, but they do make some nice products. The iPhone is designed well (as is the iPod touch) and has an incredibly slick interface that, in my opinion, has yet to be matched. OS X, while not tailored to be gaming-centric (considering quite a good chunk of popular games are Windows-only), is very stable and streamlined. Just because it's made to be friendly to your grandma doesn't mean it can't cater to a user who knows what he's doing. My dad is an IT professional and uses Windows, OSX, and Linux distros (primarily Ubuntu) regularly, and he prefers OSX to the others - no, he's not stupid or computer illiterate, it just makes his every-day computing life easier to work with. I bet you the majority of childish whiners haven't actually used OSX legitimately and are just bandwagoning. Shame about Jobs though, I hope he does okay health-wise. I wonder what will happen in terms of the company's long-term vision.

There was allot of intelligent criticism of Apple in threads about Apple patent lawsuits. Some people just post what is true and not all one sided. I've criticized both MS and Apple extensively, heck most big corporations have allot to criticize on.

I don't like Apple, and mainly consider Steve to be a major douche nozzle but he's done a lot of good and I'd never wish death upon someone who isn't apart of politics.

I expected the usual bullshit about something, like badsomething. But this is surprising.

Even though I don't like Apple products and marketing, this is kind of sad.

I sure haven't seen this coming, at all. Hopefully they'll drop all those ridiculous patent lawsuits and stuff.

I'm guessing after the record profits and now a change of CEOs, a lot of people will be pulling their money out knowing that without Jobs leading their public image, it may very well go down.

You have to admit they are all geniuses for successfully advertising laptops that never cost less than 999 bucks. Most of the other stuff is fairly priced, like the iPad and iPhone, both are priced the same as teh competition.
