Israel using flechette shells that spray out a thousand tiny metal pieces in Gaza
but if they could they would use same or bigger warhead, so it's irrelevant, they keep building and importing bigger and more deadly ones over time ...
in the end rockets and mortar and artillery shells are deadly if hit area with humans in blast range ...
what fucking logic is this
next are you going to start shooting people on sight for staring angrily with the intent to kill?
where I said that ? they shooting rockets, capable of kill or wounding, increasing range, warhead size steadily ...
and if one side don't want peace, the other side has no other choice than use weapons too
Palestine leadership burned so much on weapons and lost in own bankrupt gov that if they didn't
they would be rich as Dubai

so are you basing this on anything, or is that just your gut feeling?

I wonder what the ratio of Hamas/Insurgent to civilian casualties is
Near impossible to figure out, insurgents are civilians.
You're talking about "bunkers and shelters" and I am talking about the Iron Dome. At least your bunkers and shelters can withstand the force of a makeshift rocket.
In Gaza, your shelter becomes your tomb.
Did you even read my post? All Hamas rockets which were headed toward living centers in Israel were shot down by Iron dome. Without it, they could have hit major buildings, or streets with people in them, or whatever. Heck I just had an alarm a few hours ago while I was sleeping.
And just to be clear: those rockets are not the "bottle rockets" as you love to call them. They are much more dangerous, with much more explosives, and of course a bigger range.

And the more you push the civilians, the more lucrative it seems to become an insurgent and try to make it stop.

28 people have died to rockets fired from the strip since 2001, you're more likely to choke on your tounge while sleeping of someshit than getting hit by one of these.
Exactly. But the problem is that the other weapon of choice is 105mm HE shell being launched at a certain building. Putting a pretty massive hole into a house, and sending shrapnel all around.
Yeah the better alternative is to fire weapons expressly built for killing and maiming people, as opposed to actually just hitting your target.

And I have the Iron Dome, alarm system, and bomb shelters to thank for that.

Or you can thank the fact that Israel is committing genocide against a country that can't fight back nearly as effectively
Or you can thank the fact that Israel is committing genocide against a country that can't fight back nearly as effectively
Which country would that be? Are there thousands of people dying in the West Bank right now as well?

please check how much foreign aid was sent to Palestine by EU, many member states , other states, other arab states etc.
don't you know after Arafat died they found over 1 billion USD(or EUR) on his accounts in swiss ? :)
if nearly the money went into 'improving life style, education, healthcare' then they get really great country now
ofcourse some shall go to security (police, regular army) ...
but no, most of it is gone ... into corrupt hands or fanatics hands

Iron dome went online in 2011, aka ten years after it started, they had ten years to rack up kills without it, I wonder why they didn't. Maybe one side is aiming for infrastructure, not civilians.

Are you seriously suggesting that the same people who did suicide bomb attacks on pizza parlors in order to maximize civilian casualties are aiming rockets, that they can barely aim anyway, at infrastructure? There's ignorant, and then there's completely deluded. If your are suggesting what I think you're suggesting, then you would be the latter of the two.

75km range, payload of 178kg ... imagine it hits - after some iron-dome battery fails
pretty sure flechette rounds are
Nope. They are even still a part of the current US Artillery arsenal and are still trained with, typically in use as a direct fire round.

That's because, thanks to the blockade, Hamas wasn't able to get their hands on sophisticated rockets which could reach Tel-Aviv and other major cities in Israel, and with much more explosive power. Just imagine what would have happened had Israel not put up the blockade when Hamas came into power.

The blockade went into effect in 2007. Rockets have been "flying" since 2001.

I really wish rocket would stop being fired. Israel couldn't ask for a better pretext for anything.
It's a fucking shotgun in a larger form. Do we outlaw slugs and buckshot from a 12 gauge under the same pretext?
Usually buckshot does not penetrate body armor easily. The exact opposite can be said for flechette
Or you can thank the fact that Israel is committing genocide against a country that can't fight back nearly as effectively
Jesus fucking Christ
People for once and for all try to realize that Israel is not trying to eradicate, to wipe out from the planet the arabs. There is no doctrine, no fucking books calling for that no Mein Kampf. No nothing. A bloody war in which the odds are totally stacked against one side doesn't mean the other side is trying to commit genocide.
And if the arabs can't fight back nearly as effectively, maybe they should have thought it better when trying to attack Israel.
Dont get me wrong dude, I am all in for trying to find a solution that doesn't fuck both sides, but saying that Israel is committing a genocide, is just being a hysterical ignorant prick, simple as that.
I'm not in a position to talk about this. Snip.
Help me understand these ratings.
Flechettes are arguably the more civil round to be using in this case. They don't penetrate most walls, and sure as hell don't explode on contact like a normal tank shell does. Civilians can take cover in their homes and should be pretty safe from these.
