This isn't a person, this is a government entity. Get off the NSAs dick and look what you're riding for a second.
The NSA is made up of people? Is it OK to disregard the rights of a group of people because they're in a group? The Taliban has no rights because they're in a group? Corporations aren't people but they're made up of people and those people have rights.
This is a government entity, I'm not saying you should go anally observe every employee. I don't care about the employees, I care about the entity. I would really just like the NSA to stop existing, is that so bad? I couldn't care less about the employees, they've done nothing wrong. It's the entity.
How can the entity do wrong but the employees can't? It's not some secret government AI making the decisions.
Do you honestly trust the nsa after all the bullshit they have done? My friend i wish i had your naïveté
Employees are just soldiers following rules
How well'd that one hold up in the Nuremberg Trials?
Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
How ironic.
Employees are just soldiers following rules, the people who tell them what to do are the ones in the wrong.
They're employees too. They're following orders just like everyone else.
Lots of people here don't understand, you can't just send nudes, you need to be flagged in their system. I'm going to blow up the 9/11 derka derka I'm a real life al-qaeda [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] [sp]Please don't make actual threats again and get Garry involved with every investigation agency again.[/sp]
oh fuck oh shit the NSA just called they want information about you oh fuck we're all gonna be poor
Well I guess you're right, everyone follows orders from everyone and no one can ever be held accountable for their actions.
You're the one who's saying that the employees can't do wrong.
How well'd that one hold up in the Nuremberg Trials?
Godwin's law was quick on this one.
The only "nude" they'd get would be a black dick shot taken with a bad camera.
I kinda want to work there now.
Since when is everything Snowden said completely 100% true.
Since when is everything Snowden said completely 100% true.
But dude, he had to run from tha gub'ment ta Russia 'cause danged ol' Obonga wants him jailed! He HAS to be tellin' tha truth, he HAS to!
Obviously that would exclude the people in charge of those employees
So only the employees who do nothing wrong get rights? I don't think you know how rights work.
I don't think the NSA does either.
Alright, well, the basic thing about rights is that they're rights. Everyone has them at all times and they can't be taken away from you. You have rights. I have rights. The employees of the NSA - all of them - have rights. Just because someone doesn't respect your rights doesn't mean they don't get the same rights. Murderers have rights. Terrorists have rights. Even Hitler had rights. Everyone has rights, no matter how much they respect yours.
Everyone in the whole wide world has rights? Under certain conditions, they can be taken away. Do terrorists have the right to remain silent when we torture information out of them?
Yes. That's what inalienable means.
Shame our government doesn't tend to care about the inalienable.
Yes, it is, but that doesn't mean they still don't get them.
Government entities aren't people though. If they started killing people, whoops nothing we can do because they have rights?
I still don't think you really understand this. Government entities are made up of people. They have rights. If they start killing people, they still have all of those inalienable human rights. It doesn't mean they shouldn't be taken out of power, but it does mean they should get a fair and speedy trial, just like anyone else.
If the government started killing people, there would be no trail. Sometimes you have to say "fuck it" to rights, man. Only under extrenious circumstances of course. There are exceptions to everything.
Well, the government considers everyone they're monitoring an exception to the right to privacy. Since they're not inalienable, that's ok, right? [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] Also, there wouldn't be a trial, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be. Just because it wouldn't happen doesn't mean it's not a violation of their rights.
Fuck the governments rights. Citizens rights > government's rights.
The government are citizens. The government is made up of citizens. They have rights. There is no magical government machine that makes all the decisions. They are people. They get rights. The government's rights equals the citizen's rights because they ARE citizens. [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] What point are you trying to get at? Becoming part of the government means you give up all your rights? The people of the government don't deserve any rights because fuck the police? There actually IS a magical government machine?
The point is that holding the NSA accountable for actions that nobody can prove they committed is irrational, k?
The point is that holding the NSA accountable for actions that nobody can prove they committed is irrational, k?
Yeah, that's what I'm arguing.
But dude, he had to run from tha gub'ment ta Russia 'cause danged ol' Obonga wants him jailed! He HAS to be tellin' tha truth, he HAS to!
The whole affair is ridiculous. From the officials reacting to snowden's claims to people angry about thier phones data being recorded. What do you expect? There's never been an easier and more lucrative way of tapping into a nation's hivemind.Or a group of people, or an individual. First off he did nothing but make those facts popular through the news, every gov't and private company knows they're being spied on, and they spy on others aswell, because if you don't you'll get trampled by the competition. Practically the only ones who don't spy or know they're being spied are the general populace. Yeah you don't need to be a hacker to realise that basically every bit of data that gets uploaded on the internet is not gonna get removed anytime soon, and rightly so. It might contain info valuable in the future.
I've come to the realization that our country will always be corrupt. So long as the rich always have the power us little guys will keep getting walked on. Not much surprises me anymore on the news so I don't even bother watching it anymore LOL. This so called democracy we have is fucked.
I always knew my dong would help stop terrorism somehow
