The road course is pretty hellacious. The one super tight section before the main straight can cost an immense amount of time if off line.
iirc theres also some pretty good overtaking moves at 1-2-3
the race is starting in 20 minutes http://www.racefansonlytv.com/ gabe's car is #23 i think
Literally once I opened the stream a car caught fire.

I just noticed he is using irfanview as his photo viewer, good for him

it was a huge crash

had to be cut out the car, at hospital now
there'd be less jokes if they would just say something about it instead of having an elephant in the room for like 7 fucking years
The thing is, if he just acknowledged the fact it is being made properly and will be out within the next few years, and the 3 jokes would cease to exist.
I have the patience of a saint therefore i can wait but i can understand the length of time it has taken if he were to say "sorry it took so long but started making episode 3, then cancelled which was like a year and a half down the drain, then we started making 3 then instead we decided to build a brand spanking new amazing engine and a completely new Half Life game." i'd completely understand.
I mean i get it, he really doesn't want to disappoint the fanbase and i can also understand the pressure he's under, but the longer he leaves it the more it's just going to build and build.
If you look at the leap HL2 was to the original HL then you can pretty much guess if it is a new game entirely, the level at which the game is going to be at compared to HL2 is huge!

Gabe doesn't like your jokes :(
I think this is the first time he's ever acknowledged the fat jokes

He even made a video to say "Happy Birthday" to a fellow Facepunch users girlfriend.
You can find the thread here: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1348932
He seems like a pretty humble guy.
I just realised how tiny Gabes eyes are.
Like, they could fit inside his nostrils..

I remember a YouTube video years ago where Gabe went into a TF2 trade server (fuck knows why), and some idiot made a fat joke right at him. It was where I first heard he was losing weight.
And it was definitely Gabe, using the mic and everything.

Yeah. For hours I tried to find Gabe Newell on the pits, but the stream quality was too shit for that.
jesus christ, he has lost one whole hell of a lot of weight. Good for him!
from what I can tell, his sense of humour means he's an FP'er
edit:
like 2 months ago, my father had about $491 in fraudulent charges from Steam. I immediately emailed Gabe Newell asking about what to do and within 3 hours, had a call from Valve Software and Melissa (wonderful woman to talk to) saved it all.
Thanks to them, my father considers them A-Okay!
Knowing that Gabe Newell is a fellow car enthusiast, and one who knows his shit at that, makes me love the man even more.
He has the money for a Tesla Model S but chooses not to buy one, instead opting for a much more raw, unique and fun car, and that is quite admirable.
Quite pleased to hear that he has some degree of racing experience too.

More like elephant NOT in the room.
But seriously, just give us "Yes, we're working on it" or "No, none of our team has felt like having the weight of HL3 on their shoulders yet"
only room for one lord around here
we will have to fight to the death
