But of course! Forgot about that. I take it that the source engine now works with OpenGL or something?
Yes.
Wait.. doesn't that mean that it will be easier for Valve to make PS3 versions of their games from now on? :byodood:
Yes. But they won't.
everyone steps on the :bandwagon: again.
TF2 will never be the same. No seriously, mac's don't have right click.
No man. THIS http://h.imagehost.org/0909/Logitech-Performance-Mouse-MX.jpg Is a sexy mouse. But that's just my opinion.
Sexy? No. Comfortable? hell yeah. Most Apple accessories have always been made with design over function. Looks good, but uncomfortable to use in the long run.
Assuming they're all ready to ship, why don't they just launch the store with all of the games at once?
And to all Mac users, I highly advise you to get Torchlight! It's a great game and does not require a strong pc at all, it even has a netbook mode!
This. It's awesome. It also has a lot of mods.
No man.
:pwn:
What? I find it much easier to play with than the default WASD movement.

That doesn't explain move forward on Mouse 2 though :v:
TF2 will never be the same. No seriously, mac's don't have right click. No spy cloaking No Airblasting No rev-ing up miniguns exc
They actually do. Seriously, they fucking do. It glows, cool. But the Magic Mouse, it may not be a mouse, (and seriously it is just fucking useless) but at least it looks different. Dumb ratings?!
You speak like valve could just go in any day and set any prices for games they want, like making MW2 $5. But that would be a huge disrespect to publishers and would get valve sued in no time. So you can't blame them at all for prices, except for their own games.
Would you stop for one second in your idiotic trail of saliva and think about what you are saying? I obviously meant that Valve had the power from day one to offer a publishing platform in which there is one price, and no platform lock in. In fact, this is the way Steam worked for years and years before they decided to fuck us over. There was US prices and nothing else. Steam wasn't any less popular for it. [editline]05:51AM[/editline]
yeah, OpenGL.
They'd have to port the engine to Cell too, which would probaqbly be significantly more challenging than porting from DX to OGL.
Is it out yet? Where can I download it if it is?
I can't find it.
Anyone know if they plan on doing the non source games? (GTA for example) Well I suppose not because they'd need Rockstar's permission right?
Anyone know if they plan on doing the non source games? (GTA for example) Well I suppose not because they'd need Rockstar's permission right?
it's up to rockstar to port the game themselves [editline]01:45PM[/editline] i found it http://steam.mac.findmysoft.com/ [editline]01:46PM[/editline] okay ignore that link I downloaded it and it was something else
now i can play games with my sodomite mac friends
it's up to rockstar to port the game themselves
That's a shame Anyone know if anything will run on my iMac G3 :buddy: :smith:
Both mac and pc are awesome if you ask me. each have there own advantages and disadvantages for example Mac runs very smoothly and is very reliable but the pc is compatible with nearly anything out there (etc games) however it does have its annoying disadvantages.
Soo, how long until *NIX binaries is released? In ValVe time of course.
Well I'm pretty sure with the whole 'supporting OpenGL' it's only closer to possible now than ever for them to make a *NIX based client and even *NIX based games, thought I don't think they would head towards this anytime soon, they still have quite a lot of work ahead of themselves with porting games to mac, testing, etc.. :P
That's a shame Anyone know if anything will run on my iMac G3 :buddy: :smith:
I really don't understand why you think it's a shame that Valve is not going to port someone else's game? Also there is no chance, sorry. It's probably going to be intel only.
Yes, but you can't press both at the same time can you? Anyways, I look forward to seeing more tf2 and l4d2 players.
You can, you just don't have to use a Mighty Mouse/Magic Mouse. [editline]02:18PM[/editline]
now i can play games with my sodomite mac friends
come here, rusty, I want to caress your rock hard nipples
Will Half-life 1 have a Mac version or will it be HL1: Source? I remember reading that Valve ported Half-life 1 to Mac but didn't release it because Mac users couldn't play against PC users. HL1 can run on OpenGL as well as DirectX, according to the video menu.
I really don't understand why you think it's a shame that Valve is not going to port someone else's game?
Because I wanna be able to play it on my Mac?

Ffff, it keeps telling me steam needs to be online to update but I'm connected and the internet works and everything
