Borderlands - the "Less Boring" Version of Fallout 3 - Polidicks

Fallout 3 is up there as a great game, but not a epic game like Oblivion.

Fallout 3 wasn't boring at all. Hell i still play it now and again.

I have to agree somewhat. I'm a big RPG fan, and despite playing it quite a lot to give it a chance, Fallout 3 bored me relatively quickly. What I found most strange is that I absolutely loved Oblivion, so perhaps F3 just wasn't isn't the same league.

The guy's got a point though, the combat in Fallout 3 was crappy. The rest of the game was amazing, though.

I like the first fallouts for when I have a shitload of time to pass. Fallout 3 is unlike anything I've played before, but that doesn't mean Boarderlands can't be fun too. :buddy:

I would buy it, but i don't like the cartoon feel.

Hey guys remember when Saints Row 2 tried to pull the same shit with GTA4 and it didn't work because it still turned out to be a piece of shit? This sounds very similar.

I liked Fallout 3 for a little bit, but once you beat it and do everything it's over with. I haven't played it since... I hope Borderlands is as good as it looks.

I really don't see on how is this comparable to Fallout 3 at all, Fallout 3 is an action RPG with tons of possible events and consequences, dialogs, etc. while this seems to be a fast paced action FPS game with a bit of RPG elements via the guns and stuff. Both are fun and great in their own way, it's pretty stupid to argue which is better and compare them. All I can see comparable is the wasteland setting, and still their wasteland style from each other is very far.

Right now, my problem with Borderlands is that it looks like there is nothing to do but run around and shoot people.

Also the environments look kind of samey.
