I really hope it's not Mariplier :wavey:
I can kinda see it being either Suzy or egoraptor, I'm not sure why and have no basis for thinking like that :v: Other than that I can't think of any other let's plays since I only watch Mark
Did the youtuber in question specify an interest in goblin darts?
Did the youtuber in question specify an interest in goblin darts?
I hope they hire someone good at gren senneling.
haha +$5 thousand for a description
yeah i hope they find out who this person is, thats scummy as fuck.
I'll do it for $17k cheaper and talk about it being the best game ever.
I'll do it for $17k cheaper and talk about it being the best game ever.
I'd do it for a sandwich and a bag of chips tbh.
I looked at Wales Interactive's website. They look like a small, indie developer, so it seems like an asshole move on the Youtubers part for not reviewing a free game.
If it was EA or Activision, I could understand asking for money, but I would be excited about just getting a free game.
The dev should reveal who this scumbag is.
Maybe it was DSP.
No, but seriously, the devs should definitely namedrop.
Maybe it was DSP.
He doesn't have millions of subscribers.
I thought the deal was that the youtuber got to keep the advertising money and got a free copy of the game
Also there's so many gaming youtubers with a couple million subs, so it's impossible to guess with this information
Honestly at a certain point a free game means fuck all to a let's player. Let's players have an investment in building a huge library of games, because they need new series all the time. However, as they grow larger they tend to receive tons of free games from devs in the hopes that they'll play it. Totalbiscuit, who has 2 million subscribers, said recently he has hundreds of games that he just doesn't have time to get around to even a quarter of them.
It's really weird how much of an effect LP's are having on the games industry. They get tons of reward copies and let's play (or 'pewdiebait') games are practically a genre now. Y'know, games like FNAF, and Goat Simulator, that just attract let's players. I dunno if this is a good or bad thing.
In my experience, Yogscast entirely depends on the member. Some seem extremely genuine, and are a pleasure to deal with (Sips, Sjin, Zoey), but some of them are absolutely some of the worst people I've ever worked with. The one that comes to mind for me is Martyn, (inthelittlewood) who outright not only ignored contact about using someone's artwork on a thumbnail (Not fanart, just random artwork he found), but actually blocked people over it, and refused to give credit to the person at all, even going as far to insult people.
From my experience Duncan is a pretty cool guy as well along with Sips, Sjin and Zoey.
Probably was Pewdiepie
Pewdiepie isn't a massive cock so no, it's probably not him or Markiplier for that matter.
Is it possible that it's VanossGaming?
Why haven't they released the name of the channel?
It would be seriously unprofessional & frankly unethical to name names from private correspondence like that, regardless of how much of a piss take it seems to be.
I can kinda see it being either Suzy or egoraptor
Suzy haven't got "a few million" subscribers IIRC. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was her after all this
Without any proof how do we not know the indie PR guy just made it up to get a load of attention (he has got more attention from this scandal than he would of if any youtubers had used the free gamecode they gave them)
In light of recent events we'd be smarter to believe him than write him off as a nutter or con man.
Why haven't they released the name of the channel?
I guess he thought it wasn't a good idea to openly challenge a YouTuber with millions of subscribers, as you may end up having thousands of people turned against you for no good reason.
From my experience Duncan is a pretty cool guy as well along with Sips, Sjin and Zoey.
I can certainly see that. Kim seems pretty cool as well. It kinda sucks that Yogscast has a bad egg or two in, I would say most of them are good people.
I can kinda see it being either Suzy or egoraptor
They've played lesser games on GG before. A lot of the games probably didn't even have $22k for a budget when making it.

Speaking of arin, he posted on the reddit thread about this
I can certainly see that. Kim seems pretty cool as well. It kinda sucks that Yogscast has a bad egg or two in, I would say most of them are good people.
Actually it seems like the only bad egg out of the yogscast is simon, I noticed the quality of their videos improved when he was out for a few months
Didnt the yogscast take all the money from their kickstarter and never paid their developers for their game they were making?
While content creators on YouTube receive code for many games almost every day, to the point where (as itisjuly said) a free game becomes "paperwork" most of the time, asking such high prices for such small amounts of coverage sounds like taking not just the piss, but the entire damn bladder and maybe one of the kidneys to boot.
I understand why no-one can cover all of the games, especially since more than two videos a day can result in a loss of views since people don't usually have the time to watch all of the videos ever (resulting in an overall dip in initial views which in turn hurts their earnings), but you really shouldn't have to PAY such exorbitant amounts unless you're doing a full-on paid promotional brand deal in something like Chivalry or Guns of Icarus.
And what's more, considering the dire straits that YouTube's ad revenue is in at the moment, content creators probably wouldn't turn their nose up at doing a paid promotion for something that grabs their interest. It ain't money for nothing, but they'll probably get their "kicks" for free if it's something they enjoy.
I get on average like 5 steam keys per day and often I get followup emails asking why I haven't covered their game yet.
Often they don't realize I played it and think its terrible.
I Wouldn't be surprised if it was this guy.
Nah he's actually a good guy, my brother actually was on the prod team for that whole MMM3000 advert thing and he's met up with him a bit, apparently he's sound AF so I doubt it'd be him.
Not saying it was broteam, but it was probably broteam
did nobody realize this article is from january yet?
did nobody realize this article is from january yet?
No it clearly says September 10 on it
No it clearly says September 10 on it
what the shit
this is some revisionist history bullshit
How is this even suprising? Marketing anything costs money, and what they're basically trying to do is buy several hundred thousand (if not milions) of impressions for no money at all, naturally it wont work.
Not saying it was broteam, but it was probably broteam
In that case I'd be totally okay with it. That guy takes the piss all the time.
