I'd be in 4 life there
How do these people get in the news?
Is it so hard to hit the little button with the X in the corner of your browser?
Three Newburyport teens could face identity theft allegations for setting up a bogus Facebook account where the woman’s unsuspecting son became the target of their cyberhate.
It appears about 95% of posters on this thread had a knee-jerk reaction instead of actually reading the fucking article. Read the article, you'd see this little line somewhere in it at the top.
OH NO WHAT CAN I DO Besides block, report, remove, close the window
OH NO WHAT CAN I DO Besides block, report, remove, close the window
Did you even read the story? The kid was being impersonated.
People shouldn't get legal action taken against them for trolling, that's bull shit. Quite frankly I think the kids just stupid for not hitting the block button. Hell even though he was being impersonated he should have had the brains to realize it's all bullshit and that it will not affect his life as a whole.

I laughed at the radio when It mentioned cyber bullying and that a girl commit suicide, if you're not mentally disabled and you kill yourself over it, good job. Although I could somewhat understand someone who is disabled and is easily influenced due to it and if you say kill yourself and they will, but they should be possibly supervised on a computer if they're online.
The kid deserves it for being a pussy. You see how he keeps saying "kind of"? That's because he doesn't have the balls to have his own opinion, so he doesn't want to disagree with anyone.
“They kind of get what they deserve,”

“It kind of made me feel like people were thinking that I was someone who I wasn’t,”

“I was kind of sad to know that someone who I thought was my friend would do this,”
Same reason I think people use "like"
But it did idiot.
It did because he let it. Bullies only have power over you if you let them.
I like how half the people in the thread didn't read the article. [editline]03:19PM[/editline]
It did because he let it. Bullies only have power over you if you let them.
Tru dat

He became ostracized...
Yeah, just ignore all the people who are pissed at him now because of the bullies, that will certainly fix it.
Trolling =/= creating an elaborate fake account and harassing people.
Yeah, just ignore all the people who are pissed at him now because of the bullies, that will certainly fix it.
First, If those people had half the mind to eve attempt to listen to him he would have been able to resolve it. Second, if they didn't care to listen to what he would have to say they aren't his friends. Third, it's high school. People are going to rip on you for one thing or another. Just stick with your group of friends and say fuck you to anyone that doesn't bother to get to know you. If you are worried about what the people who aren't your friends are thinking about you than you really need to sit down and figure out what the most important things in your life are and re-priorities. [editline]02:39PM[/editline]
Trolling =/= creating an elaborate fake account and harassing people.
I will agree with you on that, if it were just some jackoff account it would be trolling. But they went out of the way to create an impersonating account, that be pure harassment. Still, freaking out and asking uncle sam to save you is not the way to handle it.
:ohdear: I'd be in life sentance if I was in boston
You should instead be executed for poor grammar. :commissar:

Oh god
Seriously tho, there's a simple solution to all your problems on the internet, INCLUDING cyberbullying! Ok, see that little red X up there in the corner? Click it.
That really sucks but if I was him I would of retaliated with everything I have. I would of fucked their lives up so bad. Sucks for that kid though because it can be hard to recover from things like that.
Pussy. Do what I do, walk up, ask if they did it, and regardless of answer, backhand them really fucking hard. Then put on your other fine white glove, pivot on your leather shoes, and walk off.
this is retarded, real life bullying and cyber bullying is different. In real life, they can physically and mentally harm you, follow you around, and you require another person's help to stop it. In internet, you just press the big red X in the top right corner and it's over
Where is his Facebook page?
Cyber-bullying is an overused buzzword used by soccer mom's and cops everywhere.
I'm still amazed why people wonder "why someone would do such a thing" when the reason has been quoted THOUSANDS of times to be "for the lulz". Also, people that sensitive shouldn't be on the internet in the first place.
The thread title misled me...
I could really give 2 fucks about trolling, block/report the bastard and move on.
Sticks and stones may break my bones...
This article is stupid, they say trolling, then they say cyber-bullying, but they mean harassment, and that's not even the right term. What they meant to say all along was impersonating.
