It's a long story that I'm not going to share with everyone on Facepunch. But I'm also not making outrageous claims like "he can't be cured" so I don't have to.
Atleas I'm not advocating euthanasia(or how it's spelled). He will maybe get better with treatment, but I have my doubts that he will be cured of his sadistic ways. [editline]12:45AM[/editline]
Actually, he would somewhat understand. Not completely since they're completely seperate cases but what the kid is doing is tell tale signs of a future serial killer. He's already started torturing animals so we wouldn't be able to completely treat him and no one with even the slightest mental issue is ever cured. You're taught to fight it, deal with it, wield it. Its not cured because its part of who you are so instead you are taught to change it to work with society.
Finally someone who understands!
it depends on the mental illness but some like depression are never "cured." they simply are treated and may go into remission. people with major depression will most likely have a lifelong battle with it because it comes and goes without any particular reason.
Finally someone who understands!
I used to go to a psychologist for anger issues and hallucination problems. I still have issues to this day but I'm not punching random people's faces in and then huddling in the corner because I frickin' saw Slenderman.

Each month it's a new thing.

Killing animals alone isn't an indication of psychopathy. I'd love to be a little more open about my own personal experiences but there are people advocating capital punishment for mental problems so I'd rather not

But he mutilated these animals, not killed and tossed aside, mutilated.
There really is no way to know for sure that he'll become a serial killer. Killing animals alone isn't an indication of psychopathy.
Just look at the famous serial killers. Most of them started with animals. Remember those depnovrotsk something maniacs that killed people in Russia and filmed it? Stabbing a poor man with a screwdriver. They also started with cats and dogs.

But he mutilated these animals, not killed and tossed aside, mutilated.
When you were a kid did you ever shoot at a bird with a BB gun or pull the wings off a butterfly? This kid has had absolutely no upbringing, I'm not surprised he can't differentiate between hurting something small like that and hurting a dog.
When you were a kid did you ever shoot at a bird with a BB gun or pull the wings off a butterfly?
I once threw a rock at a bird, and it flew away. I still wonder if he suffered any injury from it...
Most of them started with a tall glass of water as well. [editline]08:08PM[/editline] When you were a kid did you ever shoot at a bird with a BB gun or pull the wings off a butterfly? He has no upbringing so he doesn't understand pain. No I have not torn the wings off a butterfly, sure I've hunted but I always aimed for the head and then area where the heart would be.
Which helps validate our point? He has no upbringing so he doesn't understand pain.
So get an expert in child psychology to talk to him about it then. My issue in this thread has always been with the people saying he's unhelpable and needs to be gassed - I'm not saying that he's perfectly fine and should just be let to run around or anything.

If someone was torturing animals for fun, then one would think that he has a lack of compassion for living beings. He also mutilated more than one animal. Butterflys dont scream when you pull off it's wings, and shooting s bird is not the same as torturing it to death!
and when he grows up, perhaps he can give ideas for the next saw movie.
So get an expert in child psychology to talk to him about it then. My issue in this thread has always been with the people saying he's unhelpable and needs to be gassed.
I'm saying he should get help as well. I'm saying he should get help for as long as he think he needs it. I do not want to gas him, there are idiots out there but your argument kinda backfired on itself.
Butterflys dont scream when you pull off it's wings, and shooting s bird is not the same as torturing it to death!
There are bugs called spruce beetles that make little squealing noises if you pull off their antennas, would you consider doing that to be a sign of a future serial killer? [editline]08:19PM[/editline]
I'm saying he should get help as well. I'm saying he should get help for as long as he think he needs it. I have no idea :downs:
I have no idea :downs:
Well I said that killing animals isn't a sure sign of anything, you said that the animals were mutilated, I said that that doesn't change much. Neither of us are psychologists so we're equally unqualified to be making claims like these, but we agree that the kid should get help so I don't see why there's hostility.
There are bugs called spruce beetles that make little squealing noises if you pull off their antennas, would you consider doing that to be a sign of a future serial killer? [editline]08:19PM[/editline] Then what are we arguing about
So youre implying that killing a mosquito and killing a dog is the same? I'm trying to say that he may not be completly cured, but they should atleast try to make him understand killing is wrong(with psychiatric evaluation and the works), and not just murder him like sone other dolts said. It's important that they try to treat him as soon as possible to minimize the risk of another serial-killer.
There are bugs called spruce beetles that make little squealing noises if you pull off their antennas, would you consider doing that to be a sign of a future serial killer?
There is a huge difference between beating a dog to death and pulling bugs apart. For example, the pain of one is clearly more visible. And killing bugs hasn't been labeled as a sign of psychopathy. We can't tell if his a psychopath or not, only a psychologist can do that. Even if he is, the majority of psychopaths live somewhat normal lives, never killing or anything of the like.
So youre implying that killing a mosquito and killing a dog is the same?
The other guy said that hearing cries is the metric for judging how much pain something is in. [editline]08:29PM[/editline]
We can't tell if his a psychopath or not
And that's exactly what I said and what you started arguing with me about.
Anyone read The Dunwich Horror..?
The other guy said that hearing cries is the metric for judging how much pain something is in. [editline]08:29PM[/editline] And that's exactly what I said and what you started arguing with me about.
Dogs and cats react more to pain. Shrieks, fear, more like humans. Anyway, I think most of us can agree that he should get help instead of getting executed. Anyway, I'm off to bed.
This is how it always starts. First they bury the family cat alive, then they grow up and strangle an eight-year-old girl with her own intestines. Psychopaths. And some of you think they can be rehabilitated? It dosn't work like that. It's far too late. The behavior is embedded in their personalities. Just lock them up where they can't cause anymore pain and suffering for innocent people.
Oh no, not you again, he who hates all people with mental problems.
Psychopathy isn't exactly a simple 'mental problem.' Psychopaths are incredibly dangerous, subversive individuals.
Most psychopaths actually live somewhat normal lives, rarely do they become serial killers. Of course, killing like this at a young age is not a good sign. They need to do something.
Let's put him in the zoo!
ITT People defending an inbred psychopath because he is eight rather than eighteen.
