Military members have always worn unofficial patches, especially motivational ones. Just generally not on base/offduty but rather when in combat zones.
I mean if someone simply had a tan/black one with the words "smile smile smile" on it nobody would complain. That patch though even I'd object to.

B-but it could make people think he's one of those pirates I've been hearing so much about...
Besides, it's a rainbow lightning bolt!
could he potentially shoot himself with it easier than with a standard issue AR?
Well we conquered an entire continent with the first one...and we've only lost wars with the latter.
There is nothing that makes you feel more unpatriotic than the good old feeling that a pack of sissies protects your country.
There is nothing that makes you feel more unpatriotic than the good old feeling that a pack of sissies protects your country.
Wizu, aren't you the neo-nazi American trapped in a German's body?
So you're saying fans of the show aren't marginalized enough for you?
That is exactly what I am saying yes
Why can't there be such a huge fanbase of Jackie Chan Adventures at least that was funny
There is nothing that makes you feel more unpatriotic than the good old feeling that a pack of sissies protects your country.
Why don't you sign up and show everyone how to be a badass marine, then?
Well we conquered an entire continent with the first one...and we've only lost wars with the latter.
amerindians didn't have AK47s and RPGs now did they?
the lever-action was so great because it had a distinct technological advantage over other guns of the same era.
Well we conquered an entire continent with the first one...and we've only lost wars with the latter.
Yeah but when the first one was in service people didn't go around with AK 47's and tanks.

What if I told you bronies enjoyed Jackie Chan Adventures?
Also non-authorized. Yet nobody complains about it.

The thing about that is, that it's not too flashy, it's very bland in terms of coloration.

What if I told you rapists and pedophiles enojyed ponies too.
Does that change your mind on ponies?
I mean we can go 'What if I told X enjoyed X' forever and ever.
or listen to metal?
~so manly~
why did you make this thread when you KNEW nothing good could possibly come from it
there needs to be a rule against pony anything on facepunch, im goddamn sick of all this bickering
Wouldn't a big rainbow badge make you a bit of a target?
What if I told you bronies enjoyed Jackie Chan Adventures?

Then I would stop watching Jackie Chan Adventures
He's wearing a patch! it directly effects his combat effectiveness!
oh wait
no it doesn't
who the fuck cares
The thing about that is, that it's not too flashy, it's very bland in terms of coloration.
Yeah, full color is retarded. Has to be more subdued. Like this.
This is what happens when you let gays into the military, then they come out as bronies. Vote for Mitt Romney 2012 to stop this monstrosity.
And then someone takes me seriously
I'm pretty sure I'm going to be rated a bunch of dumbs for the following comparion, but who gives a shit.
Why the this a big deal? So what, they like a children's show, one of them put a pony patch on in a convention, not on the battlefield, not in boot camp, but at a convention. A convention for bronies. For some reason I doubt he's going to charge onto the battlefield with one.
Second, its not like suddenly being a brony makes you combat ineffective. The guy isn't going to turn around to another soldier while under fire and talk about how "Twilight Sparkle is so glamorous" or something, just like how a gay soldier isn't going to talk about banging dudes while he's being shot at. I'm seeing a lot of rhetoric being thrown around in this thread which is frighteningly similar to the rhetoric used about trying to ban gays from the military. "They're going to be afraid of fighting", or "this is the pussification of the military", or "they'll distract other guys in combat scenarios".
I don't even like MLP, but the backlash towards some guys who like a show joining the military is absurd.
There is nothing that makes you feel more unpatriotic than the good old feeling that a pack of sissies protects your country.
Exactly what I was talking about. This is something anti-gay people would say about gays in the military.
He's wearing a patch! it directly effects his combat effectiveness!

Other marines loses their morale.

True story. There are more rapists and pedophiles in the catholic church than in the brony fandom.

Those must be some pussy arse marines then

I'd say people who get butthurt over a piece of cloth and velcro are the sissies.
Those must be some pussy arse marines then
They should look up to their alpha as fuck dominant male with the pony patch

Hit the nail on the head.
This non argument again. Stop going into places that you know will draw them and it won't be an issue. Adblock avatars if it pisses you off so much.
You don't have a right to not be offended. Man the fuck up and deal with it. "Wahhh, these guys arent as manly as me. I'm going to bitch and piss and moan about it on an internet forum."
I'm not whining, I just have an extremely droll sense of humour that seems to infiltrate all my posts.
But to avoid going into places that'll draw bronies i'd have to avoid the internet all together, and that's never gonna happen
Well we conquered an entire continent with the first one...and we've only lost wars with the latter.
Oh yes, we totally got crushed in the Gulf War. Decisive Iraqi victory if I recall.
