well, we can all agree that if it really is part of the snake, that it is completely non functional
Arm snakes would be cool, nowhere would be safe then.
...They're called lizards. We already have those.
Now give it a wings and call it a dragon of some sort.
And people say Evolution is false...
Well, in the Bible there's that thing that the snake, which gave Eve the apple had arms, a human torso actually. But then god transformed it into a crawling thing as punishment. So basically, if you would try to use this as proof, surely some fanatic of which there are many would speak some gibberish using this some way as a sign of god's existence. I'm not referring to all Religious people though, just the fanatics, which lets be honest, are fucking stupid.
It makes sense seeing as snakes evolved from some sort of lizard

Snakes used to have legs because, and are an ancestral trait. This rare mutation would never work its way back into that snake population.
Ha ha ha.... How about that, a snake gets one of its leftover ancestral genes switched on and it grows a big damn lizard claw. Have an explanation for that, creationists? If it didn't evolve from something that HAD legs, then where the living fuck did the genes for legs COME from in something "designed" to be a snake and nothing else?
I can't honestly be the first person to think of this.
CHECKMATE CREATION-
of course I had to hit rock bottom of the thread. Reposting. [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] Only if you take an old-woman-who-just-woke-up's word for it.
Dammit
Clone it!
actually, what was that website for analysing if an image was edited?
Here's a bigger picture: If you have studied high school biology, you know that a sudden mutation that grants you a fully functioning limb with nails and all that allows you to climb walls is not possible. It just doesn't work that way. (At least I don't think so. Hm it may have had dormant genes from a period when they had legs or something. ) And then we have this problem that it was reported in year 2009, but nothing seemed to happen.
Well it technically is possible... but you'll win a few lotteries before it happens.
Xiu Qiong Duan, 68, told the SINA Beijing news agency she woke up in the middle of the night to find the snake clinging to the wall of her bedroom.
Holy fucking shit that's all of my nightmares right there, fuck that goddamnit
why rate him dumb, this is exactly what evolution is if its true [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] not food, food wouldn't protrude through the skin like that at all
Snake get fucking greedy and die like this all the time, mainly from things with horns. An arm is harder for this to happen but if the angle is right and the rigger is hard enough, then out goes the arm. [editline]25th May 2012[/editline] And no this is not what evolution is, things just do not go well fuck I want a new arm today. They would get a nub, and if it was beneficent for their environment it, OVER GENERATIONS turn into something, but not an exact hand/arm. Unless it is a throwback gene, but in short not how we understand evolution to work, pay more attention in school.
