people in alabama probably see more brown people all week than you do all year :v:
We're much more diverse than people believe. Huntsville is anyway, With the NASA base on one side of town and the army base not too far away. People from all over the world come to my town.
Update - the video is up as well.

That cop getting fired was justified.

My brother-in-law's younger brother works for Boeing and is currently there at the Huntsville office as well.
From what I've been told by my sister in Charlotte, Madison and Huntsville are the two most liberal cities (counties?) in the entire state, which is what makes this incident all the more surprising.
Naturally, I'm sure Alabamans must be getting a taster for it feels like when people generalize about them, just as they do with India and rape cases.

Thanks for bringing that one up, bud.
Perspective is, after all, very important.
Most humans reach their peak sometime before 30 i think and after that it just goes downhill for the rest of your life.
If you live a healthy, active life, there's no reason everything should be downhill after you turn 30, I don't know why you think that.

One of the assistants at the eye doctor I go to is from Boston. She moved down here to Louisiana about 10 years ago. She said we are actually more diverse and blended than the north. She said up north (at least around where she came from), she could tell you the racial and class makeup of each town, whereas down here, you have people of all classes and races all living along the same roads, a few seconds apart from each other.
I thought that was an interesting observation.
