Texas floods are nasty. Flash floods all over the place. The rain down here rarely just drizzles all day - it will pour down with enormous raindrops that actually hurt against exposed skin. When it gets this bad, visibility is reduced to maybe a few yards ahead of you because of how thick the fucking rain is.
I'm actually missing the drought from two years ago right now. Last year and this year have had way too much fucking rain. I'm ready for a drought and some dry heat instead of this muddy humid air boiling in hundred-degree weather.
I could see the rain coming across the bayou(Offats) this morning. It was ridiculous. I was basically racing the down poor to class. (it won)

I'm a good distance away from the majority of the flooding and we're just getting light rain, but it's crazy. Last year the lake near me was down something like 20 feet from regular levels from the drought. Once the heavy rain started, it went 10 feet over regular levels and the dam couldn't release any because of heavy flooding, so all the parks on the lake got submerged for weeks. Same shit is happening again this year.
Misread counties as countries. Then proceeded to laugh at myself. Stay safe texans!
Can confirm, I'm in that northernmost red county, and it's flat as shit over here and drainage is a foreign concept in this city so all of it just pools on the roads and goes nowhere.
Floods are horrific, hope everyone turns out safe.
