i'm saying that the rich exploit the people who actually produce useful things for other people. how many ceo's are on the factory floor?
You're right all the millions of rich people are just like those evil nonhuman suits you see in movies.
So it's okay to take lots of money from someone who is successful because "oh they have plenty" but taking the same percentage from someone else working a shit job isn't fair. Why don't we just make all the rich people pay for the poor people's food and rent and health insurance while we're at it?
To improve the quality of life? Does that matter anything?
Because they earned their god damn money and shouldn't pay more than they have to just because of YOU think they shouldnt be allowed to enjoy their extra cash.

So it's okay to take lots of money from someone who is successful because "oh they have plenty" but taking the same percentage from someone else working a shit job isn't fair. Why don't we just make all the rich people pay for the poor people's food and rent and health insurance while we're at it?
Because if the country needs more tax revenue, what's better, taking it from the people with money to spare or taking it from the people already around or under the poverty line?
Because if the country needs more tax revenue, what's better, taking it from the people with money to spare or taking it from the people already around or under the poverty line?
Neither.
Neither.
Then you need to either seriously slash government spending or have the country go bust, neither of which are good choices.
I'd prefer the truth, yes.
Except the economy is growing lol.
What do you do for a living? Are you working in some dead end retail job as a manager at Target or something? All these people who complain about not having money for rent and food and gas prices being too high are a bunch of lazy faggots looking for a handout. If you aren't working to make yourself more successful than why should my tax dollars go to you? You don't see pharmacists and nurses and engineers complaining about not having any money, do you? There are plenty of ways to put yourself through college and get a degree even if you don't have the money. My friend put himself through a private university on scholarships and loans and majored in Aerospace Engineering and paid it all off. I have friends going to college for free at Military Service Academics or on military scholarships. Bitching and moaning about how the economy is poor and the job market is shit is no excuse for not having enough money. It's your own fault if you didn't make wise decisions with your life and do what was necessary to provide for yourself. All these articles about taxes just give the self-righteous liberals working crap jobs yet another opportunity to whine about how they aren't treated fairly enough, and it's ridiculous. Do you think every single one of these CEO's just magically inherited millions of dollars? No, some of them worked shit jobs and saved up and founded their companies and grew them over decades. That's why they have millions of dollars, and they don't deserve to have it ripped away just because they actually did something intelligent.
so then every single person in the usa has the opportunity to be a doctor. we can have 100% of the american population being rich?
Neither.
There's borrowing money and printing it as well.
Then you need to either seriously slash government spending or have the country go bust, neither of which are good choices.
The US little war on terror and drugs are costing trillions directly and indirectly, get of that. Also contrary to popular belief the US is nowhere near of going bust. Im sure you have a fair amount of spare cash, give that to the government then.
No, because there are always going to be people who are lazy and unwilling to help themselves.
And so the great economist FinalHunter says "It is their own problem".
No, because there are always going to be people who are lazy and unwilling to help themselves.
what if everyone was willing to help themselves? would that mean that everyone could be rich?
so then every single person in the usa has the opportunity to be a doctor. we can have 100% of the american population being rich?
There is a difference between not being a docter and working in mcdonalds for 8 years and being surprised your life hasnt magically improved. [editline]2nd September 2013[/editline]
No, because there are always going to be people who are lazy and unwilling to help themselves.
Now that is wrong. Not everyone can become a docter whether or not if you are lazy or not. Med school isnt cheap.
All these people who complain about not having money for rent and food and gas prices being too high are a bunch of lazy faggots looking for a handout.
Troll or idiot?
All these people who complain about not having money for rent and food and gas prices being too high are a bunch of lazy faggots looking for a handout. If you aren't working to make yourself more successful than why should my tax dollars go to you?
Oh wow I didn't notice this. No reputable person with even the tiniest micron of economic and historical knowledge says this is what reality is.
Tell me how I'm wrong.
For one you don't have any evidence. You're just as bad as communists.
Okay, then you can go to a technical school and get your Cisco and Microsoft certifications and make 60k+ a year doing networking and IT. There are plenty of opportunities out there.
so are there plenty of opportunities for every single american to be as rich as the ceo's and investors or not?
Are your arguments completely limited to hypotheticals? My whole point was that people could easily do something with their lives and be able to support themselves and pay taxes, not that everyone in the world can be a millionaire living in a mansion. Instead these people go into retail after High School or major in something useless like Philosophy and wonder why they're having money problems.
so it is not hard work that makes a millionaire a millionaire, it is luck.
a millionaire has earned their money in the same way a lottery winner earns their money.
The thing is, most poor people are stuck working in low paying jobs for numerous of reason. Thinking a poor kid in the ghetto can magically become a docter due to sheer willpower is completely stupid. Med school isnt free. Homeless people have it worst because employers dont hire homeless people. As simple as that. They are not bums who spend all their money on booze and love freezing half way to death in the cold. But simplely forcing richer, more successful people to unfairly pay more just because they have more spare money is stupid. Fix the problem not take money from the rich to temporary make up for it. Hell alot of you guys who criticize the rich for spending money on materialistic things and saying they dont need it are hypocrites. You guys dont need your spare cash to buy all those videogames on steam, or that build PC you guys spend hundreds on so fuck off with that mentality that just because rich peole dont NEED the money means you can just take it away from them.
Really? So the amount of effort a CEO has put into earning his money is equivalent to walking into a gas station and buying a lotto ticket? Either you're a troll trying to piss me off, or you're flat out retarded.
this is basically all an investor does.

Our country isn't socialist, sorry.
roflmao what a nerd if you are rich and mediocre you will be well educated but if you are poor you will have to be very gifted and tenacious to get the same benefits.
Okay, then you can go to a technical school and get your Cisco and Microsoft certifications and make 60k+ a year doing networking and IT. There are plenty of opportunities out there. Tell me how I'm wrong.
Okay cool ill just go to some homeless guys in a ally and tell them to magically gain money to pay for a high education. Totally genius. [editline]2nd September 2013[/editline]
this is basically all an investor does.
Investing is completely different than buying a lotto ticket, you have no idea what you are talking about.
Okay cool ill just go to some homeless guys in a ally and tell them to magically gain money to pay for a high education. Totally genius.
MIT posts all of their lectures online for free. You don't get a piece of paper, but the education is still there, and internet is pretty easily available.
That homeless guy didn't just magically appear in that alley. You know, there was kinda some stuff that led up to that. This just reinforces my point when people are dumbing me for suggesting the idea of these people earning scholarships, military scholarships, financial aid, merit-based aid, first generation student aid, loans, etc. God forbid they take their lives into their own hands and find a way to deal with their situation!
didn't you hear? being poor literally makes you dumber because your brain is working so hard on the day to day that there's less "bandwitdth" with which to work towards long term goals. edit: also i think every human deserves a decent living but thats just dirty commie ethics edit2: and speaking about how rich don't deserve being taxed, what is it being used on exactly? There are people so fabulously rich that there's really no way to invest or spend all of it, you only need so many yachts and further investments will only grow your balance. give that dosh to some poor folk and they sure as shit will go and stimulate the economy by buying something they need
great argument

you don't have any evidence.
Like, do you not understand what I'm requesting? You know? Evidence that people who complain about rising gas and food prices are "lazy fucks demanding handouts"? Plus your whole argument consisted of "prove me wrong". You don't /prove/ an argument wrong. You can only give something supporting your argument. You can't prove a negative.
at this point i think this is more about emotions and ideology than any logic.
MIT posts all of their lectures online for free. You don't get a piece of paper, but the education is still there, and internet is pretty easily available.
I dont know that many homeless people with a laptop and internet connection.
How about we just make taxes fair and equal without the rich getting tax cuts instead of dickriding more successful people just because they make more money?
Why not equality of burden instead of equality of percent If 40% tax burdens you the same as 10% tax burdens someone who makes substantially less, why not do it that way for equality
if the rich earned even a dime of their money i might actually agree with you.
You need a reality check sir.
