I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume I know more about firearms law in the United States and facts regarding gun crime because it's been an area of fascination for me for a long time but I'm not going to claim that it's legal to open carry in Florida without citing the source that actually says you can't. I'm not lazy because I don't research every claim on FP. You are defending your laziness to make claims without actually having to back them up. This is basic arguing 101.
No it is laziness that pretty much no one was gonna bother seeing if I was wrong or not unless I personally cited the source. Its like I cast some magical spell that prevents anyone else doing so and it wouldnt be a thing until I personally cite the source.
I live in Chicago. There are numerous people on my Facebook feed actually encouraging this behavior. Honestly, the reactions to this event remind me more of nazism than Trump ever has.
Same here, a gem just got posted saying this: Chitowndown4life NO OTHER CITY DID WAT WE DONE IN THIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. ...SHUT DOWN A CANDIDATE. ....WHY DO U THINK I SAY WE THE REALEST CITY IN AMERICA, WHY DO U THINK I SAY WE ‪#‎CHITOWNDOWN4LIFE‬. ...BE PROUD OF WHERE U FROM....THIS IS CHICAGO...AND WE NOT GOING FOR THE BULLSHIT

You've put like three times as much effort as it took to cite your claim into complaining about being called out by now.

I'll stop derailing by just pointing out how disingenuine it is to accuse others of being passively aggressive then call us everything short of lazy idiots when asked for citations [editline]12th March 2016[/editline]
I can't possibly imagine taking pride in this but that's Chicago i guess
Did you watch a stream on debating, so now you're an authority on it?
No, I never actually brought up anything concerning debating or debate etiquette nor talking in the debate section of the forum. I did watch a stream of Thief and knew it was garbage after 6 hours though and someone spent money on me.
Do you think the guy charging at Trump was going to give him some flowers? Are you actually trying to explain that this dude jumped over a fence and lunged at Trump with "peaceful intentions"?? Also, this is the guy: https://twitter.com/Younglionking7/status/708166652760760321
"Saturday im going to check my people and spit on their false king" OH MY GOD THE HORROR. Somebody stop that sociopath! He's such a vicious killer! He had no intention of murdering or assaulting Trump, apparently. More might come out later, but this information has helped to influence my opinion about this guy. Thanks for wrecking your own argument for me.
if someone said shit like that about bernie sanders before charging him during a rally you'd think he was a fucking headcase
Sanders isn't running the kind of campaign that Trump is though. Your comparison is meaningless. Why do people always try to reduce everything down like this? They try to make everything and everyone seem the same, and they deliberately ignore the differences that in reality make them distinctive from one another in the first place. Sanders hasn't called for torture to be adopted as a national policy, hasn't called for a national database that will catalog and track all Muslims living here in the United States (regardless of whether or not they're naturalized citizens and grossly violating their rights), he hasn't accused millions of Mexicans of being "rapists" and "criminals" who "bring crime" into this country, he hasn't called for the extermination of the families of ISIS affiliates with no discrimination between those who were involved and those who weren't... Trump and Sanders could not be more different from one another. So yeah, with that in mind, I would think somebody who did something like that against him was a headcase. I'd think the same if they did it to Kasich; he actually seems like a decent and moderate Republican contender, and it's a shame he hasn't gotten more attention. I wouldn't vote for him, but he's at least not as radical and ridiculous as Trump and Cruz both are.
"Saturday im going to check my people and spit on their false king" OH MY GOD THE HORROR. Somebody stop that sociopath! He's such a vicious killer!
I get you don't like Trump and his fans but this is a great length to paint verbal abuse as violent but not the actions of someone rushing the stage. In other words my man: "a sum of $5.98 has been deposited into your bank account."
He had no intention of murdering or assaulting Trump, apparently. More might come out later, but this information has helped to influence my opinion about this guy. You're just getting desperate at trying to pin me down here. The guy had no intention apparently of trying to murder or assault Trump, according to his own admission on Twitter. AS I SAID ALREADY (if you'd paid attention), "more might come out later", but until that time comes, this is what he said he was there to do, and that's all there is to it. He jumped a fence, ran towards the stage, and according to what he said on Twitter, he was just going to try and spit on Trump. You on the other hand insinuated he was trying to murder him or assault him or do something horrible and vicious to him that would somehow justify the audience's abhorrent reaction to him; and that apparently does not seem to be the case. You were wrong, and I never said that "he's a nice guy". I'd appreciate it if you didn't put words in my mouth, thanks.

Trying to spit on someone can easily be classified as battery.

Trying to spit on someone can easily be classified as battery.
Doesn't matter. You said he was going to murder him or assault him, and you painted it as though it was going to be a brutal attack. This apparently was not the case. If he would have spit on Trump, would that have warranted him being beaten and possibly killed like Trump's supporters were calling for to happen? And, again, I never said he was a "nice guy". That's entirely you. You can try to put words in my mouth all you want, but everything that you said earlier was absolutely a melodramatic overreaction on your part at this point in time. He wasn't going to murder or assault Trump, the crowd's reaction was completely uncalled for, and that's that.
love seeing the same people who'd justify attacks on refugees because "it's important to look at the reasons why this happens" completely ignore trump's violent rhetoric
You said he was going to murder
Citation.
assault him
Yeah, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_(crime) That's putting it mildly if the body guards weren't there to stop him.
Trump's supporters were calling for to happen?
Did you see any of his supporters actually attack him?
Citation. Yeah, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_(crime) That's putting it mildly if the body guards weren't there to stop him. Did you see any of his supporters actually attack him?
Nah but they wanted to fuck his shit up. I mean how dare they get mad that a guy who they don't know, don't follow, and a literally who, who charged a man they've come to trust. They should've known he was only going to spit on him and totally not do anything else. The amount of mental gymnastics required to hate trump for his aggressive/violent rhetoric/campaign but be totally okay when its answered with violence or potential violent behavior is astounding. THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT HE WANTS. When a protest against him turns violent, or when someone charges him you know what he says? "This is what we're up against! Get them out! I can't even practice my right to speech without being threatened with violence! Woe is me!" and he gets more supporters because people in America eat that shit up. "Nah America would NEVER elect this man, so it doesn't really matter" keep telling yourself that, never ever underestimate the power of a man who knows how to manipulate a situation or a narrative to look like the victim in the eyes of the blue-collar workers that support him. Trump is incredibly charismatic and he's a great showman, that being said blue-collar types that have come to hate politicians and the news eat that shit right up and support him.
Up next is Cleveland, Ohio, which I have a bad feeling about. Someone tried to rush him in Dayton.
Oh that's going to go well... I mean fuck, Cleveland is going to burn it's such a racially polarised area, the downtown is all poor blacks while all the suburbs are affluent whites and rednecks
Citation.

I guess it's O.K if you don't like Trump. When can I hope to get the official Govna verdict on attempted assault being animalistic/wrong?

Do you think the guy charging at Trump was going to give him some flowers? Also:
At common law, simple battery is a misdemeanor. The prosecutor must prove all three elements beyond a reasonable doubt: 1) an unlawful application of force 2) to the person of another 3) resulting in either bodily injury or an offensive touching. The common-law elements serve as a basic template, but individual jurisdictions may alter them, and they may vary slightly from state to state. Under modern statutory schemes, battery is often divided into grades that determine the severity of punishment. For example: * Simple battery may include any form of non-consensual harmful or insulting contact, regardless of the injury caused. Criminal battery requires intent to inflict an injury on another. * Sexual battery may be defined as non-consensual touching of the intimate parts of another. At least in Florida, "Sexual battery means oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by, or union with, the sexual organ of another or the anal or vaginal penetration of another by any other object": See section 794.011. Kansas In the state of Kansas battery is defined as follows: Battery. (a) Battery is: (1) Intentionally or recklessly causing bodily harm to another person; or (2) intentionally causing physical contact with another person when done in a rude, insulting or angry manner. Louisiana The law on battery in Louisiana reads: §33. Battery defined Battery is the intentional use of force or violence upon the person of another; or the intentional administration of a poison or other noxious liquid or substance to another.
You're exaggerating the severity, both in terms of what he intended and the legal severity of what actually happened.
That's putting it mildly if the body guards weren't there to stop him.
Well, they did, so it's not as big of a deal as you're trying to paint it to be.
Did you see any of his supporters actually attack him?
Did I say that I saw them attack him? Nope, I didn't, just like I never said this dude was a "nice guy". But they called for him to be beaten and killed, they were extremely vicious about it, and Trump supporters have attacked people at rallies before. That's strongly indicative of their character.
Apparently this is the guy.
this is like that ghandi quote all over again
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
hopin the last part doesnt happen tbh, i have no ill will twoards trump but i dont want him to be prez

But for christ's sake, he's built his entire campaign on hate and fear mongering, it's astounding that anyone pointing that out gets shot down with "justifying violence"
Lol, some Trump supporter on CNN just said Donald "Carry them out on a stretcher" Trump doesn't condone violence. Come the fuck on.
I live in Chicago. There are numerous people on my Facebook feed actually encouraging this behavior. Honestly, the reactions to this event remind me more of nazism than Trump ever has.
In the same boat, but I noticed everyone is sharing the "Protests" aspect of it rather than the rioting part, which is relieving since my friends on there are very kneejerk in their reactions.
Has he actually been charged with battery yet, or no? Also:
Where's the citation I asked for?
You're exaggerating the severity
Where?
Well, they did, so it's not as big of a deal as you're trying to paint it to be.
Of course it's a big deal, why isn't it a big deal someone lunged at him?
Right, and Bernie's entire campaign is also based on hate and fear monger. Sadly, that seems to be the go-to for populist candidates.
??????????
Right, and Bernie's entire campaign is also based on hate and fear monger. Sadly, that seems to be the go-to for populist candidates.
Bernie is talking about the kind of revolution at the ballot box, Trump is talking about the kind of change done at gunpoint (by that I mean rounding up and deporting millions, using the military to dickwave, and in general become aggressive towards our allies and neighbors alike) Bernie knows that he and his supporters won't get anything done unless they can toss out the tea party, even the Republicans would welcome that at this point since the "freedom" caucus destroyed their leadership in the house
Right, and Bernie's entire campaign is also based on hate and fear monger. Sadly, that seems to be the go-to for populist candidates.
I never thought id see the day even someone could actually say this. Bernie is by far the most pure runner right now, hell, my biggest gripe for him is that hes TOO fucking nice. Hes the ONLY presidential runner ive seen with a completely clean record and plenty of stuff on his past, all which show hes stuck to his beliefs this entire time. What is he fear mongering? That wall street is corrupt as fuck?
trump rally in power and light district gooooood shit man
