Activision doesn't have any power over Bungie. They just pay them to make games. If they stop paying them or try to threaten them, Bungie goes "Fuck you." and goes to EA or something. Activision has absolutely no power over them.
Blizzard took some influence from Activision so I wouldn't be too sure about that.
I really hope Bungie won't make us pay, I love Bungie.
Well, the only CoD games I own and play are from before they went sour and began passing Call of Duty: SUPAH DUPAH THREA MAPS FOR FIEV DOLARS EACH as the Messiah coming again.
(United Offensive and 2. Maybe I should try the original, don't know where the key is, though.)

At least I still have several games to get ready for in the future:
The Elder Scrolls V
Fallout: New Vegas
Driver: San Francisco
Episode Three (while I list that, why don't I just add Duke Nukem Forever?)
Heck, I never fully finished Oblivion or Fallout 3. I know, it's practically a sin for Bethesda fans, including me. I'm working on it.
I may even go out on a limb and get Fable III. I mean, Fable: The Lost Chapters was pretty good. Shame I couldn't never get Fable II.
Oh yeah, I have Assassin's Creed 2 somewhere, but I never got around to removing enough random junk to actually install it.
So yeah, I have several games to last a few years. Enough, at least, to last through the Activision Dark Ages.
Activision is terrible, Bobby Kotick deserves a terrible death.
Who needs activision when we have valve, the one company who never does anything wrong
I have to say alot of recent news coming from the games industry really makes me regret being in the middle of a degree in games design i just dont want to go into this industry anymore, i just care about making good games that people can enjoy and expressing my creativity and enthusiasm for games into new and fun ways to play :( but all i see nowadays is another industry exploiting the little guy, i really do lose hope for this world.

and never releases anytime on time+their games get stale after playing them for a while.
this is why i love valve, they're not money grabbing bastards that wants to fuck over their own fanbase
Valves only flaws are their concept of time, and their ability to break everything fixing one thing.
Other than those, they are still the best company.
Wait a minute, since when is Bungie partnered with Activision? I thought Microsoft published their games.
Blizzard took some influence from Activision so I wouldn't be too sure about that.
But those companies merged. This is just a publishing deal. The worst Activision can do is not publish their game, according to the folks at Bungie.

They will partner in 2011.
They will partner in 2011.
Oh, okay then. But will Activision have any real control over them?
If they do this, i bet the playercount for MW2 will drop faster then the WTC.
Activision is sucking more after each year... If this trend continuous they are going to go bankrupt. Nah joust kidding you guys. Money 1, Shitty games 2, Some shit here, Community last! Valve is our last chance!
This is madness!!
Oh, okay then. But will Activision have any real control over them?
No, not really. Activision gave them a really good deal out of desperation over the whole Infinity Ward situation. Pretty much they'll be paying Bungie to do whatever they want, and will publish their games as well.
fuck. this is why i hate Activision sometimes.
