The world doesn't begin and end with you. Perhaps it's simply a matter of what's important to you politically is different to what's important to others.
For me at least, I can understand how someone would take greater comfort in their passing if I knew those they would be leaving behind would be happy, healthy and otherwise looked after, and sadly politics often factors into stuff like that.

Ive always found a lot of ricky gervais' shows and movies really poignant considering the kind of humour they often feature.

Way to entirely miss the point of what I was saying, and leaping to make some dumb clap-back.
You were saying "why worry about it, you are dying so you wont have to deal with politics", but the world doesn't begin and end with you or I- once we pass on our loved ones will still be here- it's only natural to worry about how current affairs may effect them.
