With the characters surrounding Trump, I would not be surprised if it was just 100% the latter and the fact that he has something to hide just happens to be a happy coincidence.

Yeah, and that they're asking about that is major, because it was a core pillar of the blackmail material claims made in Steele's dossier. On the night of the "piss tape," it was alleged that Trump had just come back from celebrating one of the biggest business victories in his career -- a meeting with Kremlin oligarchs and government officials who could approve the construction of his long-desired Trump Tower Moscow. On the way back, those same individuals he met with offered to send him prostitutes to help him celebrate. His bodyguard claims the prostitutes were turned down, but also claims that he was not outside Trump's door and thus cannot confirm whether or not that's actually true.
That Mueller's team is looking at Trump Tower Moscow is a big deal.

It's more significant because it portends they most likely have hard proof/evidence of what was previously conjecture and speculation about the Trump Tower Moscow deal. Meaning, in other words, Mueller is making notable progress.

Hope Hicks didn't need to answer any questions asked by the House Intelligence Committee when you've got Don Jr. tweeting and Nunberg blabbing about it live in public.
