Guys it isn't working, what am i doing wrong?
There's no fan on your CPU, it will light on fire. It could use some RAM. It could also use a GPU. But most importantly, add some wires bro.
Using the same analogy, didn't he basically say people soup up their cars by adding engines?
I feel like the engine is more analogous to the CPU, with the rest of the drivetrain being the motherboard.

It wont be fun with a monitor like that either
I have had both a $5 one and one of those really expensive Logitech mice and keyboards. And in the end, I prefer the $5 one. It never broke in my entire life, while I chewed through 3 expensive mice and keyboards.
Expensive logitech keyboards are practically the same as $5 keyboards, and whatever mice you used might not have fit your grip. Frame design is the most important bit of a mouse, second place being perfect control on the sensor. I can't speak much for sturdy design but logitech and some, mostly older, razer mice are known for having issues and some research can prevent that.
I have zero hand discomfort with my current keyboard/mouse and I don't care about how fast or accurate my mouse, the only FPS's I even play anymore is BF3 and TF2 and neither game requires pin-point accuracy.
Unless you're a sniper but I haven't played a sniper in years.
I thought exactly the same until I tried out a friend's mechanical KB and mx518, it's one of those things you don't notice much until you're out of it. I really do enjoy computing more than I did before, even though there didn't seem to be any huge problem at the time.
I can't handle the massive levels of ignorance.
Even five seconds of research on google would tell you it's infinitely better to build your own computer instead of buying pre-built shit.
And why do they need all of that Logitech stuff? Last time I checked my $5 mouse and keyboard has lasted me for three years with zero problems.
Please tell me this is satire.
I got this razor naga thing, it has like 15 extra buttons. Been meaning to hotkey them with SC2 but never gotten around to it.

This is fucking hilarious, an Iphone Touch for gaming-on the go? Dropping $5000 on a monitor?
3000 for a "gaming" pc?
The Dreadnought is armed with a 3.4GHz Core i7-2600K processor. Despite being unlocked, the processor wasn't overclocked, leaving any performance tweaking in the hands of the owner. The Dreadnought is equipped with 8GB of RAM, with two free DIMM slots left for more memory in the future. It's also set up for massive storage, using a 1TB drive for your media and files, and a 128GB solid-state drive for faster boot times for Windows and applications.
I know people, both personally and from H&S, that could get twice those specs with that kind of cash.
This just in: Hobbies cost money.

Yep but my PC is better (not substantially) than the one that costs 3k and I built it for about 1.3 -_-

Razer is its own company. Logitech mice are pretty solid.
Overall Logitech makes pretty solid mice and keyboards. You can tell yourself that your five dollar peripheral is as good all you want, but at the end of the day it simply isn't the case. I use my keyboard LCD to monitor my computer and the reprogrammable keys make a lot of things a hell of a lot easier. Not to mention overall having a backlit keyboard is nice.
Being able to increase or decrease the sensitivity of my mouse with buttons on the mouse itself is also quite handy.
Uh, high end laptop with 1080p screen for $1000 + $50 gamer mouse = win?
$3,333 for a gaming PC?
Goddamn thats expansive and my 1200 euro PC has better specs

Except that you can't upgrade it and playing on a laptop is not really the same shit as playing it on a 27" full HD monitor with a comfy keyboard and not getting so goddamn hot when playing a mid-detail game

Unless logitech rolled out a product without me noticing, none of their keyboards use anything other than standard rubber domes. Reprogrammable keys are doable with software, and the LCD isn't something I'd be willing to pay such a large premium for.
I use a steelseries Xai
after using an old Logitech Intellimouse optical from 2000
11 years of trusty service.
Using a simple Logitech mouse that costed 20 euro and i still play a ton times better then my friends 200 euro Razer mutant mouse

What the hell is that Graphics card? A Voodoo 5500 or something?
My pentium I had something similar in it.
This article fails to realise that PC gamers tend not to go for the most expensive shit possible for the hell of it. Some people do but the majority are more sensible.

Yes, reprogrammable keys are possible with software. You still have to have the keys and the software to do it, however.
Being able to map mouse buttons to keyboard functions is also quite handy.
If they aren't for you, then they aren't for you, but don't spew crap about logitech that simply isn't true. Their hardware is generally pretty quality.
I want one so I can put it on a controllable spinning podium in my room, when ever anyone enters I'll slowly spin around and grin like a James Bond villain.
In reality it would slowly spin around to reveal you fapping.
This does make me think that going back to PS3 is an idea. I'm tight on money :v:
Yeah, I'll most definitely buy a 3D-HDTV with Apps for my PC. You can easily scrape off 300-400 to get a BETTER quality monitor actually meant for PC's.
It hurts me to read this.
