Remove needle, dunk them in some batter and DEEP FRY THEM FUCKERS. Very nutritious!!
I always assumed wasps/hornets would taste quite raunchy. Whatever glands in them that produce venom must be pretty awful tasting.
I don't think I regret doing anything as much as I regret seeing that OP.

I've heard that these things are loud as hell when they're flying around. So at least you know they're coming.
"Is this gonna be a standup fight sir, or just another bug hunt?"
Haaaa
They're definitely a Vespa Mandarinia subspecies judging by the general shape of the body segments, but as for the dark coloration and somewhat unusual size, I can't tell the specific subspecies. Does anybody have a confirmed name of said subspecies, or are they just being classified as "Asian Giant Hornets" ?
Honestly, at this point I think they're being classified as Waspzilla.
I think I'd classify them as V. nopenia fuckitiquitica.
"Remember your training, and you will make it back alive"!
Wrong movie.
This may have already been mentioned before, but the wasps in the OP picture are queens of that species which is why they are bigger. Not that it makes them any less terrifying.
Wrong movie.
Still applicable.
Is it even possible to eat pure hate.
Its the only way to gain their power.
I declare war on wasps

Never thought I'd see bees being chomped in half.
Yeah, I'm never going back to sleep. Ever. And I was already very phobic about stinging insects too.
Send in the goddamn USCM.
I think going back to wearing those medieval age full-iron suits of armor might have some merit to it.
How about something synthetic that withstands stabs and doesn't reduce mobility to all hell? Think motorcycling gear, but beefed up a bit.
You mean leather armor?
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c0a_1380805029 38 seconds, graphic warning, it ain't pretty
Welp that set off my trypophobia
On the note of wasps being useless, I always thought they existed to keep a balance between the insect populace. They are hunters and don't produce anything on their own. Still they're a bitch to deal with, especially those hornets. I had a nest just outside of my house once in a tree. Once you came to close to the tree, you heard really loud and menacing sounds. It was pretty frightening.
