So do you speak Inuit?
Canadians speak one of two if not both languages, English and French. Inuit is if you're born way up north, though I do get what you're saying and will accept this burn.
Well the headscarf was meant to keep men from flirting with women, specifically women who are married.
I heard that it was some belief to prevent the temptation of angels from going to earth and playing with the women. The scarves are suppose to "confuse" them in not knowing whether they're men or not. But I heard that a while back, I have no proof of this, and I find it somewhat hard to believe myself.
(User was banned for this post ("flaming" - GunFox))
Hahahaha.
They cannot make exceptions. Otherwise where does it stop? If I decide that god is in my hat, can I just wear my hat everywhere? What if I decide god is in a dildo and wear it on a chain everywhere? Is it not going to be allowed over headscarves simply because Islam is more popular? The only exceptions to dress codes you can realistically expect are for folks who have disabilities.
Plus wearing a headscarf is not actually a part of Islam at all, it's part of sharia law which is not the same thing as Islam.

It has no connections to a religion so you probably have downsyndrome which in that case you probably wouldn't be a doctor.
Yeah, it's perfectly normal to pretend there's an invisible man watching your every move from inside other symbols though, right?
uh yes
I don't see the problem. They said no headwear, why should she be special?
uh yes
No. Also, I love how the symbol for Catholicism is the very object upon which their savior was brutally murdered.
No. Also, I love how the symbol for Catholicism is the very object upon which their savior was brutally murdered.
And how the second commandment is "thou shalt not make an idol representing anything in the heavens, on the earth, or in the waters below" yet they make idols of just about everything. Including crucifixes.
And how the second commandment is "thou shalt not make an idol representing anything in the heavens, on the earth, or in the waters below" yet they make idols of just about everything. I think when they mean idol, they mean like a symbol of a god contrary to the religion, and then worshiping it.
You're in hospital, where religion shouldn't be at all.
How so?
No. Also, I love how the symbol for Catholicism is the very object upon which their savior was brutally murdered.
It's used as a symbol to describe how (in catholic belief) how Jesus died for the sins of people, so they use it as a sign of thanks for what he did. Also, how is it weird when the majority of people have been doing it since the beginning of humanity?
Because there's no longer any reason to.
Why isn't there reason to?
Why isn't there reason to?
Because this is the age of science and reason, not wizards and dragons.
Because this is the age of science and reason, not wizards and dragons.
Religion isn't wizards and dragons. How can religion not go along with science anyway?
Religion isn't wizards and dragons. How can religion not go along with science anyway?
Because religion is the exact opposite of science. Science draws conclusions from evidence, religion just makes conclusions and kills anyone who doesn't believe in them.
Because religion is the exact opposite of science. Science draws conclusions from evidence, religion just makes conclusions and kills anyone who doesn't believe in them.
That's assuming the religion is an extremist one. Most religion doesn't just make conclusions either. Whatever. I really don't feel like starting a fierce debate over religion anyway. Also, 500th post.
Because religion is the exact opposite of science. Science draws conclusions from evidence, religion just makes conclusions and kills anyone who doesn't believe in them.
I always viewed science as the study of God's creation :catholic:
Because there's no longer any reason to.
Religion and science can work fine together, it's not like you can't be a religious and scientific person, otherwise there wouldn't be any religious doctors like the woman from the article.
Religion and science can work fine together, it's not like you can't be a religious and scientific person, otherwise there wouldn't be any religious doctors like the woman from the article.
True! And, Einstein was religious! :eng101:
I know it sounds silly but. If we have to obey their laws in their country, why can't they obey ours. It might not be a law to not wear a headscarf, but it's not our culture or anything. It's theirs.
Because religion is the exact opposite of science. Or you're just an idiot....
Yea, I walk through school and stab every atheist I see, thats how us Christians roll!! I wish people could just do their own thing and not have to have others call them and idiot for doing so. [editline]09:12PM[/editline] Or maybe I'm just being idealistic.

Ditch da religion or ditch da job. Still don't get the no-hats rules though.
Ditch da religion or ditch da job. Still don't get the no-hats rules though.
Or here's an idea: When you go to work, take it off. When you leave, put it back on. Then you can have both. Also: Time for surgery. Hats in the field do not work out.
