How many of which are confirmed to be strictly affiliated with the Russian government and Putin?
Are you asking people to list out incidents 100% guaranteed to be completely connected to a government? one sec I'll just take a look in my filing cabinet, the one filled with records of events confirmed to be strictly affiliated with the Russian Government. It's right next to my cabinet with files on 'confirmed' sightings of bigfoot.
Yeah guys Putin is so awesome corruption is such an amazing thing
All governments are corrupt.
uh, I asked for sourcing. aka what you should bring forth when you make such accusations.
Funny thing about contract killings, assassinations, torture, and all that, is a government usually isn't gonna come out and say "Yep we did that"
How many of which are confirmed to be strictly affiliated with the Russian government and Putin?
The poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko, the assassination of Anna Politkovskaya, the arrest, torture, detention and death of Sergei Magnitsky, William Bowder's deportation and the following ordeal, all closely tied to revealing corruption in the Russian government, all ended up with catastrophic consequences for the investigators. If you seriously believe that these predicaments had fuck-all to do with Putin and the Russian government, you're a moron.
Where's the evidence
You're bad at reading sarcasm.
Putin looks like a nice guy. He also looks like my grandpa. Just a little younger.
To be honest Putin is pretty corrupted. I mean he invested more time in doing his Photoshoots so people would like him than actually do something good for Russia. His support rate fell from 60% in 2008 to 40% (He still wins).
Yes, because in order to prevent someone from thinking that you're an authoritarian and a semi-dictator you'd have to arrange half assed accidents for people trying to uncover your crimes because everyone knows how well that works out everytime a stunt like that is pulled off.
Getting pumped full of bullets is hardly an accident, and it obviously works well enough if Putin, Medvedev and co. are still in positions of great power.
Also maybe we should just arrest people who may or may not have actually done any crimes because who cares about jurisdictional processes or actual evidence right
That actually proves my point, doesn't it? With no jurisdictional processes, no incriminating evidence would get uncovered.
Contract killings, torture sessions, death threats, poisonings, corruption, all blown out of proportion?
Sounds like the war on terror to me.

Also this is the guy who got poisoned with polonium for criticising Putin. Edit: or more precisely, criticising FSB.
Does this mean Obama and Medvedev won't get to hang out and fuck around anymore? If you see them together they always seem to be buddies having a chill day, and not just for the cameras :(
I remember seeing this video before, but I watched it again, and I just noticed that most of the t-shirts worn by the employees said "GO TO HELL". That's pleasant, especially when they took the photo at the end.
Well well, who didn't see this shit coming? Russia is pretty much a dictatorship as it is right now because the other parties will NEVER get elected, no matter what. Just gonna be a Putin-Medvedev jerkfest until one of them grows too old.
Also because hating Putin goes against the popular opinion so that's the new 'cool' thing to do as well I suppose.
yeah dude when we're not hating putin we're behind the gym smoking
Putin is a retired KGB agent FYI.
This thread is a bad joke. Also at least he is a more subtle autocrat than Lukashenko and Chavez.
"Looks like he'll be.....putin charge again"?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHH! [editline]24th September 2011[/editline]
Isn't he a pretty bad president? People seem to say "PUTIN IS SO BADASS OMG", but why? Because he pose for pictures? Has he actually helped Russia develop into something better than it was before?
The economy jumped fron 22th place to the 11th in the world. Id say thats a pretty big step.
Sounds like the war on terror to me. Also this is the guy who got poisoned with polonium for criticising Putin. Edit: or more precisely, criticising FSB.
According to Marbalo, any suspicions leading to Putin is not to be considered because everyone is just hatin on Putin because we are trying to be kewl

We are no spies! We track a band of Uruk-hai westward across the plains. They have taken two of our friends captive.
ah fuck. the only thing worse than a corrupt leader is a marketable corrupt leader.
She probably lived in a shitty part of the country. I know this might shock you but every country has its good areas and bad areas, people who are doing well off and those who do not.
She is in my study group, do you think I haven't talked to her? She is from a pretty big place. I can't really remember exactly where but on Tuesday I will talk to her some more. Russia is corrupt as fuck, people are scared of their pensions, organized crime is rampant.
And nowhere have I said that the Russian government is not corrupted. Because I personally think it is, but I wouldn't expect any different from a government that only climbed out of one of the most powerful, most influential dictatorships in the world a couple of petty decades ago. It's only a matter of time till the rest of the Soviet politicians who are in the Russian government die off.
From your post:
ITT: Westerners obviously know everything there is to know about corruption and the state of freedom in Russia from a couple of wiki articles and a literal handful of reporter deaths that can definitively be linked to governmental involvement.
You make it sound like everything I/other have linked is not valid because we don't live there and therefore we don't know anything and nothing is wrong.
But I digress, the reason I mock people who bluntly criticize Putin to the point where he seems almost as bad as fucking Stalin is because every bad thing he ever did is blown straight out of proportion. When it comes to comparing him with the rest of the world leaders, he is the one that actually doesn't seem half bad. Granted that just because everyone does bad shit doesn't justify doing said bad shit but I'm just trying to add a sense of perspective here, something everyone conveniently forgets.
Thanks for telling everyone that you are mocking us instead of you know, trying to have a discussion. Everything isn't blown out of proportion because Russia is corrupt as FUCK. It's #154 at Transparency International. If you as much as google "Russia Corruption" you will get TONS of stuff that shows you how corrupt Russia is. They HAVE to be critized because they have nukes and a large army. With a large capacity to do alot of bad things.

This is Putin on the way home from Mount Doom to get that ring back.
This is Putin on the way home from Mount Doom to get that ring back.
dude needs to be getting on his way to a gym.
dude needs to be getting on his way to a gym.
He looks out of shape but I'd be willing to bet he could still level a town with his left butt cheek
He looks out of shape but I'd be willing to bet he could still level a town with his left butt cheek
the only thing he could level is a tower of cake and it's apparent he's already very experienced in dealing with cake.
the only thing he could level is a tower of cake and it's apparent he's already very experienced in dealing with cake.
To his credit the man is almost 60 years old and there's only so much working out can do at that age.
the only thing he could level is a tower of cake and it's apparent he's already very experienced in dealing with cake.
I bet 100 bux that despite him being 60 he'll still take you anyday.
To his credit the man is almost 60 years old and there's only so much working out can do at that age.
Like wine, Putin gets better with age.
I bet 100 bux that despite him being 60 he'll still take you anyday.
i'll just kick him in the nuts
