The areas that have the highest gun crime would never, ever have a free gun giveaway. In fact, free gun giveaways almost never ever happen, it's sort of a running joke that doesn't often see the light of reality. [editline]24th March 2014[/editline] And it's like one gun anyway, not like a bunch of them. They're probably going to speak about gun ownership and why they think it's important.
A Ford dealership around here had a promotion last fall: "Buy a new Ford, get a new Mossberg shotgun!" (imagine this in a thick southern accent over the radio) Apparently it's happening in other places too.
They even made a poster. :v:
The first and second lines made me think it was a fucking joke ahahaha
Please note, the poster says, in fine print, that the winner must have a valid driver's license AND will be subject to a federal background check. They're not going to give this away to a criminal.
That's the quality of poster I'd expect to see at an elementary school.
Stick to making windows
do you have to sign up for this and have an existing hunting licence or something, or is it fully random and grandma's coming home packin' heat does the new owner have to register the gun or is it covered by the previous owner? What if he doesn't register it?

If he doesn't then it's a private sale which, if memory serves me, is actually illegal in New York, so it's not like some escaped convict could show up to church and get a free rifle with no strings attached. The most surprising thing about this to me is that it's in New York of all places, considering the laws they've been passing for the past year or so. Ninja'd by Joe.
People can blame video games, movies, books, music and the media as much as they like; but I think this sort of thing is the real instigator of the gun crime in America. "Get a free gun with x!" It's as if they give them away like coupons or toys. There needs to be proper restrictions and there needs to be amendments to the constitution.
'All applicants will be subjected to a federal background check and must provide a valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years of age. Grace Baptist reserves the right to disqualify those of questionable character.' No I'm sure they're just throwing guns out left and right. Send in five Wheaties box tops, get a free assault rifle. That's definitely how it works.

The person behind the gun determines whether the gun is positive or negative.
Pretty convenient that Boston set up numerous centers around the city that will give you a $200 Visa gift card for giving them any guns you own just around the same time as this thing. time for a road trip
He's giving away the gun because Judas needs to be stopped before he kills Jesus. edit: oh shit, spoilers in case you haven't read the book. edit 2:
Pretty convenient that Boston set up numerous centers around the city that will give you a $200 Visa gift card for giving them any guns you own just around the same time as this thing. time for a road trip
guns can be cheap... buy cheap ones and sell them back for a profit.

You could sell the NY-compliant AR-15 for roughly $800 across the Eastern seaboard, and can purchase cheap buster guns at the same types of gunshows for a slightly higher price then the Visa Gift Card, and make a ton of profit on them. It's actually why Arizona outlawed gun buybacks :v:
America “was built with the King James Bible and the gun"
pretty sure the country was built with blood and sweat of immigrants and the lower class doing everything from industry to farming to pioneering to prospecting [editline]24th March 2014[/editline] the gun only played a marginal role in the construction of this country, and by that i mean shooting indians, and putting food on the table. everything else was defense (or offense in the case of the spanish american war)

Most of the ideals to spread westward were spurred by the will to bring the virtues of the American people, religion and otherwise, to the Native Americans, and any other groups out in the west.
Of cource, you need a drivers licence to use a gun.
In the US, the driver's license is your default ID, so they're asking for you to have an ID or you can't have it.
The thing is... you know Jesus? He did some crazy shit, too. I mean, everyone does. He killed people. He killed that John the Baptist cat. He did what he had to do.
What did they do to that poor AR15?
Make it SAFE Act compliant. They don't want people having a ghost gun with the shoulder thing that goes up.
But succeeding at it only once.
I don't see the Union Jack flying over D.C.
I'm Baptist...
