Not that I agree with the ad by any means, but it is the polar opposite of racism.
Hating someone for their belief system is a far cry from hating them for their appearance.
Functionally it is no different than hating someone for their political party or a group they choose to affiliate themselves with.
Likening this to racism cheapens the term.
EDIT:
Note that this doesn't make the act any less stupid, I merely don't like to see the racism card pulled when it doesn't apply.
Christians hating Muslims is about as sad as things get. They ultimately are extremely similar religions.
They're boiling down an entire group of people to fit into a very hardline right wing america worldview.
Exactly what the original campaign was trying to fight.

You really should read the Wiki articles about Racism and Racism without Race as well as Ethnification.
Swastikas were a Hindu sign of good luck. The Roman salute had been used in the US four decades before the Nazis came to power. White robes with pointed hoods had historically been religious garb. Holocaust referred to a burnt sacrificial offering to a god, and negro is just Spanish for black.
You can't ignore how a symbol or word has been used and popularized, on the basis of its innocent origins. The word 'jihad' is very emotionally charged for a lot of people, it doesn't matter that the original term has a much more innocent meaning. If there's one word that symbolizes all the fear and hatred associated with Islamic terrorism, it's jihad. It's not a word you can toss around casually according to it's 'real' meaning, or fault people because they associate it with terrorism.
Of course you can't ignore historical changes in meaning but that doesn't mean that you can't change the meaning/interpretation. And that's important here because, lets face it, "jihad" IS in the Koran.
Now I'd rather have people think "oh right those deluded powerhungry fucks use it to manipulate other people" than " oh shit it's the holy war of the muslims"

To be fair, with the radio interference, I didn't understand what he said the first time either.
I hate CAIR. Pro-Islamic Snobs.
The comments on the article source reeks of conservative opinion.

I certainly see the parallels with racism, but call a spade a spade. They aren't being racist, though I have little doubt that they are also racist, they are just being assholes.
Look at the original ads. They make a point to show racial diversity. By claiming that the counterattack ads are racist, you effectively ignore part of the point of the original ads.
So Hitler's book is also called "Mein Jihad"?

Wish i read every post before posting that.

No everything I posted was absolutely terrible, I just really like to write the word 'Jihad' so I'll use any excuse.

I proposed a new ad to Pamela Gellar, but she hasn't gotten back to me.

I don't want this picture to be the last post of this thread.
Every once and a while I wish the first amendment included the phrase "Don't be an asshole for real you guys."
