I can relate to this.

Earlier this week some guy broke into a Nissan car dealership on the "motor mile" (basically a huge line of car dealerships on IH-35 in South Austin), proceeded to strip naked and started small fires all over the dealership while threatening to kill police.

They shut down the frontage road (road that runs along side most freeways in Texas) and the interstate from like 7 AM till some time in the mid afternoon until a swat team was able to go in and arrest the guy.

He's lucky the SWAT team got him because if the angry commuters had gotten a hold of him, there'd probably be a lynching. Austin already has one of the worst traffic problems in the country, and that guys little stunt backed up interstate traffic for more than 20 miles.
