If I ever have a kid and it can't speak latin while inside the womb I'm putting it up for adoption or have it's mother abort it. I'll also sue the hospital and the mother for not preparing it for life.
Wow. That kid's preschool costs almost as much as my COLLEGE.
I think the article means the mom put that much money into a college tuition, and wants the preschool to reimburse her because apparently it is now "wasted" because of them.

American society is so fucking shitty.
I think the concept of 'childhood' is bullshit - it's an age range which you won't remember anyway. In this competitive society, we should be encouraging kids to be productive and not screwing around for seven years so we don't fall behind. No, 'tiger moms' and completely removing freedom of choice for children isn't the way to go, but educating and disciplining kids from the get-go goes a far way in helping them - and in turn, their country and the citizens in said country - become successful. Education is something everyone in a society benefits from and we should be encouraging various things to kids and building a platform for them to step off of so we as a society can compete internationally instead of letting them fuck around for the first seven years of their life and get nowhere, in my opinion.
I think the concept of 'childhood' is bullshit - it's an age range which you won't remember anyway.
I faintly remember some parts of childhood. I remember the time when I was 4 and I was talking to my about how one day I'll be a big boy, just like my brother.

Every one in this thread didn't read the OP. She is suing because the child was not given the education she payed for, since the child is NOT able to pass the test for the equivalent level elementary school, which is the point of the 13,000 dollar preschool in the first place.
