how about instead of keeping people from doing things that would make them be bullied we teach kids not to bully for asinine things
Is this some kind of personal poke at me. Cause if it is then I will be sad.
Sorry :v: it wasn't meant to be.
Sorry :v: it wasn't meant to be.
It's okay I still love you.
But Spongebob is now an intelligence draining waste of television air time. And I don't know squat about Power Rangers except it's a bit ridiculous in the States.
Exactly. This is considered okay for everyone to enjoy: While this is reserved for little girls, apparently:
No, it would be "If the bullies are mocking me because of this; then maybe the school should do something about THEM."
What's up with that mentality that the world SHOULD accept your likings/opinions ?
people get bullied by others in school environments for the most trivial reasons ever, including just existing.

But that's giving in to their desires, that's exactly what they want. And then they'll move on to the next thing, till it's gone.. And then the next thing. Until they've stripped you of everything about you, and you have nothing left of yourself but a husk.
That's a bad generalisation of bullies. They just like screwing around little shut-ins or special snowflakes actually.
-snip-
Punishing the bullies would just get the kid more shit, and it's going to happen even if he ditches the MLP backpack. Bullying at that age cannot be prevented. It just doesn't work.
That's a bad generalisation of bullies. They just like screwing around little shut-ins or special snowflakes actually.
are you honestly saying it's ok to pick on people because they're 'shut-ins' or 'special snowflakes'. applying your own justification of why like assholes act that isn't a real excuse to put it in a good light.
What's up with that mentality that the world SHOULD accept your likings/opinions ?
What's wrong with that? What I wear and what I do is none of your business?? You don't need to accept or agree with it, you just need to not be a little shit who can't handle other people being different
That's a bad generalisation of bullies. They just like screwing around little shut-ins or special snowflakes actually.
why are you defending bullies at all dude that's dumb
The school did the right thing. He's fucking 9, he doesn't have constitutional rights. If they have the power to take away freedom of speech from High School students then they have the right to tell a 9 year old to stop bringing a fucking bag to school that's causing a disruption. It's just the parents making a giant deal out of it.
what the fuck am I reading no really what in the fuck am I reading
What's up with that mentality that the world SHOULD accept your likings/opinions ? That's a bad generalisation of bullies. They just like screwing around little shut-ins or special snowflakes actually.
Like that makes it any better? Spoiler: It doesn't. No child should EVER be bullied for ANYTHING. And, there is no mentality that the world should accept what one likes or has opinions of. However, there should be the mentality that the world should be... Not an asshole, about it I suppose? "It's okay to not like things, but don't be a dick about the thing you don't like." You can reject ones interests or opinions without attempting to ruin their life or emotional stability. Even so, if it's such a generalization, why have I witnessed it so many times, right in front of me? Why have I went through it myself? I liked things that weren't for my gender. I wasn't supposed to like action figures, or video games, or any of that "boy" stuff, but I did. And kids in school knew it. Eventually I was picked on for it, and I decided not to bring any of my games or toys to school anymore (that was a common thing for kids to do). I thought it would stop there. But no, it didn't. They moved onto something else. I wore short sleeves a lot, and my arms are far from pretty due to a skin condition. So I started to wear long sleeve shirts constantly. But that wasn't enough. It just kept moving on to something else, worse each time. Thankfully back then the school systems around here weren't fucking retarded and punished the bullies and it stopped before they could figuratively destroy me. But alas, when they stopped messing with me, they moved on to someone else, and the cycle kept repeating. I saw it each school year. Usually, it was the victims from the previous year, bullying the years below them, and then those victims would become bullies to the years below them next year in a never-ending perpetual cycle of hatred. In short; It's more true than you think and if you haven't seen nor been through it, count yourself extremely lucky. But don't ignore the fact that it can, and WILL, happen to others some day.
What's wrong with that? What I wear and what I do is none of your business?? You don't need to accept or agree with it, you just need to not be a little shit who can't handle other people being different
And you should also learn that not everyone have to accept you for it. Especially if you're being obnoxious.
why are you defending bullies at all dude that's dumb
I'm not defending them. I'm just simply stating the truth from my own experience.
Like that makes it any better? Spoiler: It doesn't. No child should EVER be bullied for ANYTHING.
The results pretty much depend on the individual. But on my behalf, I'm glad I was bullied in my first high school years, even if it wasn't a pleasant experience.
What's up with that mentality that the world SHOULD accept your likings/opinions ? That's a bad generalisation of bullies. They just like screwing around little shut-ins or special snowflakes actually.
Did you really just write all of this
And you should also learn that not everyone have to accept you for it. Especially if you're being obnoxious.
Thats a lesson that should be learnt but the school using bans is a bit much.
And you should also learn that not everyone have to accept you for it. Especially if you're being obnoxious. I'm not defending them. I'm just simply stating the truth from my own experience. The results pretty much depend on the individual. But on my behalf, I'm glad I was bullied in my first high school years, even if it wasn't a pleasant experience.
the fuck? wearing a backpack is obnoxious? There's a difference between screaming "LOOK AT ME I LOVE PONIES WOOHOO PONIES YEAHHHH!!!" and wearing something Intentionally causing harm to someone for their preferences is a fucking primitive thing to do. I hope you figure that out some day.
The results pretty much depend on the individual. But on my behalf, I'm glad I was bullied in my first high school years, even if it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Are you saying some people deserve to be bullied? Are you fucking real?
Being openly gay is just asking to be bullied. Being Black is just asking to be shot, etc, etc. So where are all the feminists to defend this victim of gender roles?
are you seriously this desperate for ammunition?
And you should also learn that not everyone have to accept you for it. Especially if you're being obnoxious.
I was taught from an early age, that even if someone is being obnoxious about something I don't like, that I shouldn't stoop to their level, and be just as obnoxious to them back. That I should take the better path, the friendlier path, be the better person and just walk away. And, if you MUST say something, say it in a way that's just not outright mean and offensive. Was no one else ever taught this? I've met so few that grew up on the same thing.
Exactly. This is considered okay for everyone to enjoy: While this is reserved for little girls, apparently:
kinda makes you want to watch that show now...
You know what? Yes, I hate MLP. Yes, I hate (most of) the fanbase. But let the kid wear what he wants to wear. It's protected by the First Amendment of the US Constitution. It's not like he wearing a fucking shirt that says "White Power", or has a swastika tattooed on his head. This is why I hate the school system in America. It's preaching anti-bullying, and in New York, I'm pretty sure they're trying to make it a crime. But here North Carolina is, basically teaching the students that bullying works. You know what, once all of those kids get to High School, they're going to see just how popular and widespread the MLP fandom is, and they really won't have much left to make fun of. I'm siding with this little kid, and the whole MLP fanbase. Leave this kid alone. Let him wear what he wants to wear.
Chernobyl is right. I don't care how dumb I or the school sounds, according to the Supreme Court they're in the clear and this is a better solution than trying to punish bullies who will only lash back at the victim. No one seems to be considering that maybe there wasn't a "right" answer to the problem.
don't reinforce gender roles problem solved people won't be bullied for preference any more
actually... the school can and does have the right to tell him what not to wear to prevent him from getting phisically hurt and psychologically hurt
actually... the school can and does have the right to tell him what not to wear to prevent him from getting phisically hurt and psychologically hurt
or you know fix the actual problem instead???
Holy shit this is so fucking twisted. Let's just stamp out any freedom this kid has and tell him it's his fault that people are FUCKING ASSAULTING HIM. Whoever made this decision should really be subjected to bullying by a group of fucking middle schoolers or worse. Wow this is insane
Way to go, trying to stop the bullying by bullying the person. 'murica
actually... the school can and does have the right to tell him what not to wear to prevent him from getting phisically hurt and psychologically hurt
And to me, what a dumb "right" that is. Just because it's a legal right, doesn't make it a logical (or moral) right. Say I have the right to crush kittens, it's my damn right, sure, but it doesn't keep it from being terrible. Instead it should be their "right" to remove the bullies from the school for inflicting those physical and psychological damages depending on their severity.
I don't support racism or Nazis, but why is that not allowed? Wouldn't that be freedom of speech too? You can't fall back on free speech when students don't truly have free speech. Students are constantly censored and forced to keep quiet about their opinions regardless of whether or not they are malicious.
it's the same reason why you don't cry "bomb" or "fire" in a movie theater that's actually safe.
the fuck? wearing a backpack is obnoxious? There's a difference between screaming "LOOK AT ME I LOVE PONIES WOOHOO PONIES YEAHHHH!!!" and wearing something
I'm probably sure there is much more to the story about the young boy than the article is trying to make. I won't be surprised if the actual truth was that the kid was pretty much doing his best to show to everyone that he liked MLP.
Are you saying some people deserve to be bullied? Are you fucking real?
No one deserves to be bullied, and I stated that the whole experience wasn't pleasant, but it can have some positive results in the long run. Again, like I said, it pretty much depends on the individual.
actually... the school can and does have the right to tell him what not to wear to prevent him from getting phisically hurt and psychologically hurt
And? That doesn't answer why they don't fucking punish the bullies. Schools really love to say they abolish bullying, but refuse to punish the bullies
I'm probably sure there is much more to the story about the young boy than the article is trying to make.
