Israel is the only civilized country in the Middle East. It is the homeland of the Jews. Helen Thomas's comments were pejorative and offensive. After the atrocities of the Holocaust, it's surprising to hear that no one will support the Jews, who are not the ones provoking violence. Do you define it like "Those Indians/Asians/Africans/Mexicans are goddamn savages, they should be more civilized like us, the white Europeans." See, this is what incites so much animosity between groups in the Middle East and what has caused so many problems between ethnicities in the past. People like this guy make unjustified comments labeling a whole group of people as inferior and would fight to the death for these beliefs. We get Jews who say, "Oh, we're the chosen ones, everyone around us is inferior so we should try to lets take advantage of them."
