I fell in love with the A-10 the second I heard the sound it's main gun makes.

You know you're a fucking dork when the first thing that comes to mind after seeing a bad-ass fighter jet is an obscure space fighter from Star-Wars.
Why is Gizmondo trying to be smart arses, there's F-35s in BF2 and 3 should we hit up DICE and sit around going ahururrhrurhu these planes don't actually fly or did they forget that we have CGI these days , hell if they wanted to go a step further they could even make some real models.
Since it's a propaganda film that's going to be celebrating one of the biggest wastes of money in human history?
So I guess this is the chair force version?
GAU-8
Haha, this reminds me of something.
When ARMA 2 first came out, the GAU-8 sound effect was quite shit. People on the Bohemian forums actually complained about it. One guy, Steakslim, posted that he didn't like the sound. He then said: "I want my GAU sounding like God unzipping his pants just before the surprise buttsex you are about to receive."

Yeah, the A-10 probably can't be replaced by the F-35. But the F-35 has Stealth, Speed so fast and altitudes so great that they can actually drop a bomb from MANY miles out and never have to pass over the AO at all. The ability to do Air to Air and Air to Ground, Can be stationed aboard aircraft carriers
The F-35 is a Jet. The A-10 is a Gun with wings wrapped around it.
I'm pretty sure the F-35 is capable of bringing almost as much ordinance as an A-10 though. If we're talking about AGM-65's... And that's if the F-35 can even use them

The problem is unit cost. While it would be better to consolidate fighter roles into a single, modular platform, the F35 is becoming just another money sink. Following the F22 proudly in being obscenely expensive to develop.
Tom Burbage, Lockheed Martin F-35 program manager claims, the writers will have an even greater challenge than the plane's engineers—you can only make a defective, trillion-dollar paperweight so exciting.
You know you have a useless piece of shit when even the managers say it's shit.
