You're assuming, though, that the legal action was an attempt to suppress the tape, as if it were an admission of guilt. Not necessarily - and, if it isn't her (which it doesn't look like) probably not likely. She might be trying to make a stand against tabloids publishing false information about her and/or making a statement that she's not the person in the tape.

That's not the Streisand effect. The Streisand effect came about because Streisand didn't want people having the ability to view her house, citing privacy concerns (although it's very likely that of the 4 times it was downloaded prior to the case, those people did not know it was her house). Due to her taking legal action, millions of people seeing it with the knowledge that it was, indeed, her house. There's a difference.
