But that isn't relative to what I'm saying. I'm saying his race does factor into probability of him having certain attributes, including criminality. But that races have different attributes from region to region. Meaning it isn't as simple as prejudice via racism. Brown wasn't just black, he was of a certain culture. Underprivileged African American Males, who, sadly, make up a disproportionate amount of the criminal population in the US, and everyone (black or white or whatever) considers that when they look at a persons picture. They consider it because it is relevant information. But... [B]but.[/B] They have to be careful not to base their ideas about a person solely on their cultural background. They need to be open minded and wait for someone to change their opinion if no one has already. However, regardless of that. When I'm walking home at night. And a hooded figure approaches me in the dark. When I realize that they are black, I'm happy. I feel safer. And I'm a white guy. Cause where I'm from, hooded black people are not associated with a culture of thugs. While hooded white people are.

Well, I feel that the robbery video does show a lot of indications that he (at least that day) had aggressive tendencies. I can't really extend that to say that he responded violently to the officer, but in that situation I can imagine he was already running high on that sort of core aggression that he showed in the video. Now this has very little to do with the topic of this thread, so I'll just go out there and say that while it is suspect, it is at the very least nice for the guy who will undoubtedly be remembered as the bad guy here, as the person in authority and all that. Ugly situation and I wish the racial element wasn't thrown around so aggressively. Wish people could talk calmly about racial issues when tensions run high but history tends towards more aggro ends.

I saw some article about it though which is the only reason I could spot it. Kinda shit how the photo is being used to slander Brown when he has nothing to do with the guy pictured, though it really is also sad that it works so well (They do look similar, but not to such a degree).

Well from the standpoint of a police officer I could understand donating to the officer, because it is most likely this guys life is going to be totally turned upside-down and he'll be forced to relocate, possibly go into protection, lots of turmoil. As an officer, I would hope that my fellow law enforcement community would be supportive if I had to something controversial and potentionally life ruining like in the line of duty. Now if the officer was unjustified in his actions then that would change the situation obviously.
