I guess some cultures just aren't capable of progression after a certain point. What a shame. It's alright, Iranian Politicians, we hit our point too, but at least we managed to make it a hundred years or so further

Funny thing is back in the 60's Iranian woman were free to dress as they wished. I'm not sure exactly when or why it started, but the islamic oppression of women is a recent thing in Iran.

you see, thats the thing, iran elected a socialist goverment that was rather progressive, and they nationalized a british oil company, british got pissed, asked for the americans to help them(who did so reluctantly), then they ousted the democratic goverment and installed a puppet dictator, then the islamists got into power solely for being the only ones who actually managed to survive the repression lol, then people actually wonder why iran hates the US.
