Why are people so harsh on immigrants: You can't raise your own standard of social behaviour while receiving constant injections of less uplifted people. They form together, create clumps of poverty. It, unfourtunately, happens all the time. And because they're identifiable the many get blamed for the crimes of the few, and because they live together in their own geographical areas they polarise against the existing society and people come to hate them. The more stable people move away from the area, the better teachers become hard to find, the good job opportunities vanish, and so the situation snowballs. The few jobs that they do get tend to concentrate upon them, bypassing labour laws and wage allowances, or the tax system entirely; thus taking the jobs out of reach of those within our own society who would otherwise be able to use them, at least temporarily, to help them out of poverty. Illegal immigrants represent the cream of the crop of their related countries. They’re rarely the doctors or the scientists, but doctor’s and scientists aren’t generally that much use outside of their areas of specific competency anyway, what you’re looking at in an illegal immigrant is someone who had the resources or just the animal cunning to get out. Those who have chosen to change their lot by effort. If you let them leave all the time what incentive do they have to stay in their own country and change their lot there? It’s better for most people if we don’t let them in. Sure it’ll suck for them in the short term, but when you realise there’s no way out other than changing something... well sometimes people need a little push in order to stand up for themselves. Sometimes the few have to die so that the many may advance. /note to self, need to stop writting early in the morning.

In Norway, the goverment uses shitload of money on immigrants, they get money, food, health care, and if they are rejected, they MIGHT get sent back, which costs shitloads of money itself.

The BNP are nutters. I don't know what kind of strange person would want to give them any power or influence, and god forbid they get anything more than these EU seats.

I have pretty strong feelings about this whole immigration thing. My great-grandfather was an illegal immigrant (from Italy, natch). He arrived in the US between 1910-20, got a job, settled down, had some kids, and became a productive member of society. Instead of "freeloading off the system", he became a productive citizen and did work. He assimilated easily into the culture, as many immigrants do. Frank Sinatra, all that shit. What was the result of his hard work? What values did he instill in his children? Both of his sons volunteereed for the Army on December 8, 1941. His daughters all volunteered to help out on the home front as well. So yeah, you can still be an illegal immigrant and love your adopted country.

The BNP are not a nice bunch of people...so compensation would be leaving the country alive in one piece.
