• Sony has a 78% to go Bankrupt within the next 2 years

Sony has been posting losses for their fiscal year about 5 years in a row until this year (which was a gain mostly because of selling off property). Doesn't really matter if certain divisions are succeeding, the company as a whole is not very (if at all) profitable. I doubt they will go bankrupt, but it is a possibility, much more than Microsoft or Nintendo going under (of which Nintendo would be the last because of their focus on games entirely and the success there)
I remember hearing their insurance division is one of the main reasons Sony is still staying afloat, but I'm not sure if that was just a rumor or not...
I could see this, Sony is a veteran but new competition has really matched their products well. what this data doesn't show is the probable success from the ps4 in the future. projections are accurate at launch but i think the ps4 is inherently better than the xbone obviously it is up to the market to show what happens in 2 years
Sony is one of the largest companies on the planet, a zaibatsu and they're more than just fucking game consoles. How do you guys not get that Sony has a hand in literally EVERYTHING Japanese corporations are built to last, and they dabble in everything to ensure that they can have a flexible market.
And entirely unknown to the public until the news broke. Sony right now is actively selling consoles at a loss (they are losing money on every one they sell), and going all-out on expensive promotions, freebies, and other expenses, on the assumption that it will pay itself back. All it would take would be some 'creative accounting' regarding the actual expenditure and the company could go from successful to hemorrhaging money overnight. I'm not saying I think this is happening, but there is no company too seemingly successful to suddenly collapse without warning, and predictions like this shouldn't be dismissed out of hand just because the company seems too big to fail.
