I used to full back in rugby and I would chase down and absolutely wreck even people who were much taller and bigger than me. They can't handle the punch that a small person can pack if they throw their weight right.
It's sad that it cause him to be depressed for so long, its a bad thing to be depressed about as well because there's literally nothing you can do about it aside from accept it.
Also the chart is just trollbait, you can be successful and happy regardless of your height if you really want to.

I'm 4"9, I understand the struggle of being a short as fuck guy, you get bullied a lot and people make comments constantly, I wear boots to make me taller but I only hit about 5"0/1 or so, clothes never fit ether... Shame this happened, though I think he must have had some underlying conditions to bring him to do this. It's still really sad, my heart goes out to his family.
It has nothing to do with his height, he must have some other serious issues (Self image obsession) to go that far. 5'7 isn't even short and he killed himself.

People subconsciously treat you different when you're short, and it can be emasculating as a man depending on scenario. Saying nobody cares is completely false, and confident short people are just seen as having a napoleon complex. Literally the best way and only way to deal with it is just not give a fuck, which someone with self image issues cannot do.

Funny, I'm 5'3 at age 21 and I'm pretty hard pressed to think of a time where I was explicitly and genuinely made fun of for my height growing up. My friends were the only people making light hearted prods from time to time, and other than that, nobody really cared - myself included.
As far as my interaction with the opposite sex goes, a lot of girls talk to me because they find what I'm assuming to be my height as "cute." Matter of fact I even had a few friends joke about the fact that I'm at a convenient height when people hug me. I don't have any difficulties initiating conversation because of my height, either (but I still often choose not to because I'm an introverted shut-in :v:)
So I'm pretty much saying that your height is what you make of it, being short has its perks too.

It can be for some people - you might have control over your weight but there's pretty much nothing you can do about your height, so it sucks to be anything other than comfortable with it.

You don't know this guy and neither do I, but I suspect that perhaps the reasons he killed himself really wasn't his height itself, in fact I would argue that he probably suffered with a lot of issues and that his height was the final straw, not because of yet again, his literal height; but because of what it meant to him.
He wasn't good enough, He wasn't what he wanted to be, He wasn't what others wanted him to be. He was a loser and he couldn't please people by being what they wanted. I suspect he has been mocked, bullied and emasculated due to it. Shit like that ruins a person, makes you think about how much of a fucked up loser you are, that you're worthless and you will never be loved, you will never be good enough, and that probably extended to far beyond just his height.
But really, the fact that you look at a depressed person, call them a superficial bastard and then go on that he "shouldn't get depression" already tells me enough. People and the reasons they hate themselves and the thoughts that go into suicide isn't "superficial" and I am happy that your life has been so basked in ignorance and good fortune to never truly understand this, as someone who suffers with depression and has thought of suicide, I envy your stupid ass.
