Pop ups happen more when your shadow settings are on "Very High". Keep shadows on low to high only. If you are getting lots of lag, try turning of night shadows.
This was tested on a 8800 gt with 4gb ram. All settings were on max excluding anisotropic (<- anisotropic 2x and 16x had subtle differences).

1680x1050 resolution
I can vouch for the popups as well with Very High, at least to a degree. It's not buildings being shit out of the sky left and right, but you can see low res textures pop up and stuff just appear randomly.
On a 5850, 4 gigs, i5 750.
Something like that, I have 2 280m gtx sli'd, 1 gig each, and the game just uses about 60%, little over 1 gig of dedicated.
SLI does not increase your amount of VRAM.
The cards needs to hold the same data.
So any trainers/cheats out yet?
Only one I've seen was on CheatHappens but I'd be a fool to pay for cheats, so fuck that.

Make it easier to create mods for GTAIV
Please.
HOLY DOODLEY, It might now actually work under Wine without extensive hacking cracking and general bullshit!

You act like that's GTA fault.

Y'know, GTAIV isn't designed for Linux or Mac OSX
Something like that, I have 2 280m gtx sli'd, 1 gig each, and the game just uses about 60%, little over 1 gig of dedicated.
well with SLI, rarely does a game even see/use the memory on the other card
I only need a extra 2 GB to play this game. And a 64 bit win 7 OS. Only got 32 bit.

And doesn't this section has a edit option?
how much more optimized is it now?
I also get some errors as well.
Fuck its not even starting >:(
Okay, it is actually working well now, after the patch. LOL.
I get a cool 50-60 fps now :c00lbert:
I love mods online :v:
Also, does anyone know of a mod that merges all vehicles from GTA IV and the 2 DLCs so that they can all appear and be used on each? (e.g. all vehicles from TLaD and TBoGTin GTA 4, etc)
No

I have one that adds the TLAD bikes to GTA IV, might as well look at how they did it and take care of the rest :D
I just want a mod to get less traffic. I said this too much already. :v:
This patch really fucked shit up IMO. Can't complain though, otherwise we wouldn't have Gay Tony.
I had to reinstall for it to launch, other than that its great. Can finally play multiplayer
